Mikaela Reid Teased As Dead By Daylight New Survivor

As Halloween approaches, Dead by Daylight will welcome a new witch-themed Survivor named Mikaela Reid. The asymmetric multiplayer game has a large number of playable Survivors and Killers, with new ones being introduced on a regular basis.

Each game in Dead by Daylight sets four Survivors against a single Killer, with the Survivors arare tasked with turning on generators around the area to escape before the Killer can kill them all. Survivors have limited offensive skills and must rely on stealth and collaboration to survive long enough for the generators to be powered. Each Survivor in Dead by Daylight has their own set of Perks to aid them in their mission, which may be unlocked for other Survivors as the game continues.

DeadByBHVR, the official account for Dead by Daylight, announced the new Survivor in a recent tweet. Mikaela Reid’s name and witch-like look were unveiled in a brief movie, and it was announced that she would enter the game in an update dubbed Hour of the Witch in October 2021. The Survivor looks to be the only new addition in the latest update, with no new Killers or other Survivors joining her.

As the most recent Dead by Daylight update added Pinhead from Hellraiser as a new Killer without a Survivor counterpart, Mikaela Reid will be the first Survivor to join the game since June 2021. Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil were added in that update, making it even longer since an original Survivor was introduced to Dead by Daylight.

Mikaela Reid’s Perks are yet to be revealed, but according to the tweet, “she gives light and life to a land of darkness and death.” This implies that she will use her talents to help or heal the other Survivors.

Dead by Daylight has had a lot of material added to it since its first release in 2016, thanks to its regular updates. This has kept the game’s community alive throughout the years, as fans anxiously anticipate each new character addition to the list.

While licensed characters get the most attention – especially when they’re taken from the game, like in the Stranger Things update – the original characters showcase the developer’s ingenuity and character design.

Mikaela Reid, as a witch, fills a void in the game that has long been unfilled. Few occult Survivors have made their way into the horror title until now, and the Halloween season presents the perfect opportunity to bring this theme into the game for players to enjoy.
