Near Protocol recently raised $150 million in seed investments to adopt Web3. According to the announcement made by the team, they would be using the funds to develop regional hubs and raise awareness for decentralized blockchains and technologies.
Not only that, but Near Protocol also plans on using the money to help promote the adoption of Web3. The announcement states that the funds will “help billions of people learn and use blockchain.” Thanks to the significant amount raised, projects developed and launched on the Near blockchain will engage and connect with more audiences.
Hedge fund Three Arrows Capital led this investment round, with the help and participation of other organizations, including Mechanism Capital, Dragonfly Capital, a16z, Jump, Alameda, Zee Prime, Folius, Amber Group, 6th Man Ventures, and Circle Ventures. Even Near’s ecosystem fund, MetaWeb.VC, joined in on the seed round, along with Alan Howard, Santiago Santos, and Aave founder Stani Kulechov.
Three Arrows Capital’s co-founder and chairman, Kyle Davies, states that they were looking forward to supporting Near Protocol’s team and ecosystem. On the other hand, MetaWeb.VC’s founder, Amos Zhang, expressed his support for the funding by saying that the Protocol’s technologies are ideal for facilitating blockchain adoption.

Besides that, Near and Cardano-based Ardana also formed a partnership, which aimed to build a bridge infrastructure that allowed users to move assets from the Near Protocol to Cardano easily.
