Ubisoft has several huge titles scheduled to launch for the last quarter of this year. Perhaps, the most popular and awaited is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which will be launched later in November at around the same period as the next-gen consoles.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to be released for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 as well as the next gen-consoles on November 10, 2020. With the launch date coming closer, fans are hungry for more in-depth information about the game. Fortunately, a new story trailer was released yesterday featuring the Viking’s objectives and the events that happened before the game.
The new story trailer is directed at Eivor and his brother Sigurd. The trailer opens up their story of hoping to discover a new home around the lush lands of England. This is the main reason why the Vikings are invading the nation in the previous trailers. While the story trailer didn’t exactly provide in-depth details, fans now know what Eivor wants to achieve.
Aside from this, the trailer also featured some of the factions and enemies that players will encounter in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Although some of them will eventually become their allies. During the last seconds of the story trailer, the developers teased a mysterious organization called The Hidden Ones.
These groups of men will most likely be the game’s main villain for the upcoming new installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Some speculate that the group will most likely be supporting the nations that Eivor wants to occupy in England. Others believe they are also another group of assassins.
According to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will feature various features from the previous games. Obviously, it will have RPG elements like most of the past Assassin’s Creed games but it will reintroduce better stealth gameplays like in the original games. Integrating new mechanics with the old seems like an interesting mix that might do the game well.
The game contains other interesting features too such as allowing players to engage in Viking drinking games and rap battles. According to the developers, there are also minigames in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that players can spend a lot of time on.
A Viking rap battle is called flyting and is considered as the art of throwing insults against each other. In the game, players will have mere seconds to answer back to their opponent’s insult. The goal of this mini-game is to pick an insult that rhymes with each other.
Regarding unnecessary side quests, Ubisoft confirmed that they aren’t going to add them to the new game. Instead, players will be engaging in world quests. More information about these will come in the next days.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s launch date is inevitably coming fast which makes fans overly hyped wanting to get their hands on this new game. The recently released story trailer featured a lot more assassins in the game and fans can expect that more teasers will be released in the next few weeks leading to the game’s launch.
