The iconic Crash Bandicoot is gracing Xbox Game Pass this August. “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” is a platform compilation featuring the first games in the “Crash Bandicoot” series. ‘Core Keeper’ – August 27th
Developed by Pugstorm, “Core Keeper” is a survival sandbox game that features mechanics resembling those from other sandbox games like “Terraria,” “Minecraft,” and “Stardew Valley.” The game welcomes you to a procedurally generated underground world where you can mine, farm, craft, and explore.
‘SOPA – Tale Of The Stolen Potato’ – TBA
Spanish for “soup,” “SOPA” is a game about a young boy who goes to fetch a potato for his grandmother but stumbles upon a magical world at the back of their food cupboard. Its creative director, Juan Castañeda, is from Colombia and says the magical realism works of Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez greatly influenced the game.
Also inspired by Studio Ghibli’s Miyazaki, Disney’s “Coco,” and the novel “The Little Prince” written by a French author, “SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato” is an emotional narrative about life’s little things.
Xbox Game Pass is a Netflix-style subscription service that allows you to play hundreds of games for a flat monthly fee. It features titles like “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” and “Halo.”
