One of Capcom’s numerous cult classics is Okami. Hideki Kamiya, a former game developer of Capcom’s defunct Clover Studio, directed the game, which is largely based on Japanese mythology and has a stunning and gorgeous art style. Despite the game’s dismal sales, it has developed a loyal following who appreciate its visuals and unusual plot.
Since then, the game has been ported to a variety of platforms, with Okami’s HD remake currently accessible on all modern consoles. It also has a slew of products for its numerous characters, the most recent of which is a Good Smile Company Nendoroid figure.

Shiranui is a historical hero and a previous incarnation of Amaterasu from Okami’s reality 100 years ago. He was poisoned by the evil Orochi and died before the game’s events. The game sees Amaterasu joining up with Shiranui to fight Orochi in the past, and then the duo teaming up against Lechku and Nechku in the present. The character would later return in Okami’s sequel, Okamiden, where he assists Chibiterasu, Amaterasu’s son and therefore Shiranui’s grandson.
In February, Good Smile Company released some early screenshots of the Shiranui Nendoroid for the first time. Pre-orders for the figure, as well as fully colored screenshots of the figure, were just unveiled. The figure will include a miniature version of the character’s Celestial Envoy, Ishaku, as well as his Reflector Solar Flare. Standard and deluxe editions of the figurine will be available.

This Okami Nendoroid’s Deluxe edition will have the aforementioned accessories, as well as a few extras. This features a Bead Rosary as well as his Glaive Thunder Edge weapon. A distinctive howling faceplate will be available to switch out, allowing for even more personalization and unusual stances. Fans who pre-order this Deluxe edition will receive a unique Sparrow and Food Dish attachment as a bonus.
Pre-orders for this Nendoroid are now live and will close on October 7, 2021. In June 2022, the figure is expected to be revealed. While this isn’t the much-anticipated Okami sequel, fans may still appreciate this gorgeous figure of the famous heroine when combined with the recently released Amaterasu Nendoroid figure.
