PlayStation Plus Free Games For October 2021 Revealed

Mortal Kombat X and Hell Let Loose are among the games included in the PlayStation Plus lineup for October 2021. The PlayStation Plus program, which is essentially Sony’s equivalent of Xbox Game Pass, allows users to access a huge and ever-expanding portfolio of PS4 and PS5 games for a modest monthly charge, with new titles being added every month.

PlayStation Plus offers a diverse selection of video games, ranging from minor titles such as Worms Rumble and Rocket Arena to major triple-A blockbusters such as Final Fantasy VII Remake and Star Wars Squadrons.

In addition to games, the PlayStation Plus team is considering expanding the service to include movies and TV series, including a test run in Poland earlier this year. Meanwhile, PS Now, PlayStation’s cloud-based subscription service, saw an increase in new members last year, thanks in part to the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced everyone to stay indoors – though this appears to be decreasing as more people get vaccinated and COVID lockdowns are removed.

The official line-up of new PlayStation Plus titles for the month of October has been revealed by PlayStation. The 2019 World War II RTS Hell Let Loose (which allows players to engage in large 100-player fights with their pals) for PS5, the golf-centric sports sim PGA Tour 2K21, and NetherRealm’s 2015 fighting game blockbuster Mortal Kombat X for PS4 are included. From Tuesday, October 6 through November 1, all three of these titles will be accessible to PS Plus users.

The PlayStation Plus October 2021 lineup, like the September lineup of Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds, was already revealed online earlier this week. Insiders at Sony leaked the August 2021 PS Plus additions of Hunter’s Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2 ahead of time.

However, not every internet rumor or nugget about PS Plus’s forthcoming titles has turned out to be true, with developer Bloober Team denying that their psychological horror game The Medium will be released to the service in August.

From the savage bloodsport of Mortal Kombat X to the dark World War II background of Hell Let Loose to the soothing greens of PGA Tour 2K21, the PlayStation Plus October 2021 lineup provides a modest but diverse array of outstanding titles. Starting next Tuesday, PlayStation Plus users will be able to download all three of these games, just in time for Halloween.
