Red Dead Online’s upcoming update will reward players with free items for accomplishing specific tasks. Fortunately for fans, the challenges are as easy as logging in before November 9 and playing the game as they usually would.
Rockstar has launched updates for the game throughout the year, though a scarcity of significant new content earlier in the year caused fans to be disappointed. The developer responded by launching July’s Naturalist update and the recently concluded Halloween event, both received mixed reactions.
The game’s fan base is still poor compared to Grand Theft Auto Online, resulting in Rockstar Games switching up their strategy when it comes to launching new content. Whereas GTA Online’s updates are usually designed to draw in new users, Red Dead Online’s are more centralized on retaining and keeping their players occupied.

This plan continues in the game’s latest update, which rewards Traders 25 Moonshiners and Trader Goods, one Mash refill for simply logging in the game before November 9. Finishing a Moonshiner or Trader mission before this date will also reward players with a free treasure map. Players who reached Rank 5 and above in any role before the aforementioned date will receive a free horse, but the steed will be limited to Rank 40 or lower.
The update will arrive with new sales as well which includes a stable sale of 30 percent off horses for gamers who are planning to expand their collection. There are also new clothing and outfit editions to the catalog such as the Danube Outfit, Morning Tail Coat, Benbow Jacket, and Tasman Outfit, among others. Players may want to act as soon as possible since these will only be available for a limited time.
There are other additional freebies for Amazon Prime Gaming players, as users who connect their Amazon Prime account before November 16 will be rewarded with five legendary animal pheromones, 6000 Naturalist XP, a free wilderness camp, and a Katana coat made from a legendary Katana Elk hide. Connecting to a Prime Gaming account also gives players a free single bandolier, alongside discounts for an improved bow, a deluxe campfire, and a double bandolier.
The latest update for Red Dead Online may fall short of the full expansion that some players were expecting, but still provides them sufficient reason to keep playing the game. It is also free, so any gamer can log in to receive the freebies.
