Fans of highly-acclaimed co-op cooking game Overcooked will be happy to know that Overcooked! All You Can Eat has an official release date, as confirmed by publisher Team17 and developer Ghost Town Games.
PlayStation 5 users will be able to play the game as soon as November 12, although Xbox Series X and S players will have to wait a few more months. The release date announcement was revealed on Team17’s website, along with a new trailer.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat has a myriad of new features, among which you will find a new kitchen adventure known as “The Peckish Rises.” This feature includes three new chefs as well as seven new kitchens to play in.
The new chefs are known as Axolotl Chef, Unbread Chef, and Everpeckish Chef, and you will be able to see screenshots of them on Team17’s announcement post. Among other things, the publisher has also revealed a couple of new levels that players will encounter in the game.
These new levels include fire-filled ones wherein you have to utilize cannons in order to quickly pass food around, as well as levels that require you to use a guillotine if you want to chop ingredients.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a combination of both Overcooked and Overcooked 2 packed into one hectic cooking game. This complete edition will be able to run at 60 FPS as well as with 4K resolution, making your Overcooked experience truly high-quality.
Asides from the aforementioned new chefs and levels, Overcooked! All You Can Eat will also have new skins for all the available chefs in the game. It’s worth noting that this is a feature that’s only available in this upcoming edition.
For the first time, players will be able to play the original Overcooked levels with online co-op. In addition to that, cross-play support will be available for every kitchen as well, but it will only be added in a post-launch update.
Overcooked! All You Can Eat has its own trophy and achievement set that players can aim to unlock. That being said, you will still be able to unlock certain trophies and achievements in this edition even if you have already unlocked them in the previous two titles.
To give you an idea of just how improved the upcoming game will be, here’s a before and after side-by-side of Overcooked and Overcooked! All You Can Eat:
The most exciting thing about Overcooked! All You Can Eat is the fact that it has a new assist mode along with new accessibility settings. More specifically, this new edition will have dyslexia-friendly text as well as alternative options for those who are color blind.
Those players who want a more enjoyable and relaxing gameplay experience will now have the option to change some things within the game’s settings, such as slow down the timer or perhaps extend the customers’ patience level.
The assist mode will also allow you to choose how long one round will last, as well as the ability to skip levels. If you want to keep yourself updated, Team17 has an official Discord server you can join.
