The Witcher 3 has been confirmed to receive a release on the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. The next-gen edition will have technical and visual improvements and will be for free for players who already purchased the game on their existing consoles.
CD Projekt Red announced that they are currently working on The Witcher 3’s next-gen version. The upgrade is said to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware. The game will be released as a Complete Edition and will feature ray tracing and quicker load times on both the main game and all its expansions.

The Witcher 3 next-gen edition will be available as a standalone purchase on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The game will be free for updates for all players who have bought the game either in digital or physical format.
Radek Grabowski, CD Projekt Red’s lead producer, revealed that the update will be devoted to upgrading all current-gen editions of the game when it will be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X hardware.
The exact release date for the new edition of The Witcher 3 hasn’t been revealed yet but the developers confirmed that it will be launched anytime next year.
