Since “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” launched last May, many of its gamers have been creating, inventing, and reinventing ways in-game so they can make the most out of their play experiences.
Do you want to amass a large quantity of Korok seeds? You might want to start torturing the Koroks. This is what this player, who goes by the name kunino_sagiri on Reddit, exactly did.
The Koroks are a race in “The Legend of Zelda” series. They are tiny, wooden people wearing leaf masks over their faces. They are also referred to as spirits watched over by the Great Deku Tree. These Koroks are also protectors of the forest where they live.
kunino_sagiri, the “Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” player, built a bungee jump device for the sole purpose of torturing the Koroks in the game.
Hundreds of Koroks are hiding throughout the Hyrule kingdom in “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” but once a player finds a Korok, the creature will award Link with a Korok Seed, which can be traded for more inventory slots from Hetsu, one of the characters in the game series.
The number of Korok Seeds that must be obtained for additional inventory slots increases over time, and some players are able to amass a vast quantity of Korok Seeds in the game. They further increase these chances by building contraptions that can torture the Koroks, such as what this player did.
The player built a long bungee jump out of several Zonai spring devices, which they quickly acquired from Zonai device dispensers scattered around Hyrule.
“Not exactly a funfair activity, but after his go on the wall of death, I thought the little guy might want another adrenaline rush. Looks fun, right?” kunino_sagiri said in the caption of the video that shows the trap.
They attached the Zonai spring devices together to serve as the bungee rope. Furthermore, some wooden logs and a Zonai stake were utilized to support the trap from the high cliff. Also, a Korok was attached to the bungee jump’s very end, serving as the subject of this player’s experiment. Link must hit the stake to activate the bungee jump, which sends the Korok down the canyon.
However, kunino_sagiri clarified that only 10 spring devices may be used in the bungee jump system. When they tried attaching more spring devices so the Korok would be sent down the river at the bottom of the canyon, the bungee jump broke apart as soon as it was activated.
This creation amused many other fans of the game on Reddit
“that korok’s gonna get nightmares,” commented MoreScarsThanSkin.
Some, meanwhile, suggested a few things to improve the trap.
How about you? What do you think about this torture device?
