As the metaverse takes shape and a slew of related projects enter the fray, 9Cat Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are all gearing up to make their presence known. 9Cat will go beyond the collectible label to embody a very functional, engaging, and one-of-a-kind play-to-earn project with a special model.
The project is being developed by 12 people, including four developers, four artists, one marketing executive, and two community managers. All of them are led by Hong Kong-based game developer Wendy Lam, the project’s Chief Executive Officer. From its foundational strength, 9Cat is poised to become one of the most respected P2E games in the industry.
The 9Cat NFT and its Gaming Functions
The 9Cat P2E game’s existence will begin with releasing a 9,999 unique collectible of the game’s main character, the 9CAT. Purchasing the 9Cat NFT will grant you access to the upcoming 9Cat Saga Adventure blockchain game. While playing the game, players will earn 9Photon and 9Meta fungible tokens via the NFT.
The first chapter of 9Cat Saga Adventure is set in the ruins of an ancient alien camp. The players must make a survival run while shooting their way through a swarm of enemies. Users can earn loot and 9Photon tokens to complete a series of quests. The art depicting the 9Cat gaming world will be generated procedurally and will greatly complement the game’s overall appeal.
The 9Cat Saga blockchain game incorporates a number of tokens. The first is the 9Photon token, which will be used for in-game upgrades, and the second is the 9Meta token, which will be used throughout the ecosystem to purchase Planets, characters, unique weapons, skins, and DAO voting.
“The 9Metaverse is set in places all across the universe, a space adventure with a lovable cat using alien technology, the opportunities for character and plot design are endless,” Wendy says, adding that most existing P2E projects are more focused on earning money than on recreating fun for users.
“We see other projects consistently focusing on the blockchain aspect while completely ignoring the more important part – the game.” If you want a gaming project to succeed, it must first and foremost be a fun game that people want to play, not just something to invest in. “You don’t want to release a glorified Facebook game from the early 2000s and charge $1000 for it; we don’t want 9Cat to be like that,” Wendy explained.
On December 17, the 9Cat NFTs will go on sale exclusively to their whitelisted early supporters. A total of 1,999 collectibles will be available for purchase at a price of 0.06 ETH, with a predefined limit of 3 9Cats NFT per whitelisted wallet address.
The collection will go on sale to the public on December 26 for 0.07 ETH. There will be no need for Whitelists for the public sale, and each wallet will be able to mint a maximum of Nine 9Cats NFTs.

Being a part of the 9Cat gaming metaverse opens up a plethora of opportunities to play the games and earn tangible results that can be easily monetized. Aside from the 9Photon tokens that can be earned, owning a number of 9Cats entitles holders to breed additional cats that can grow to join the adventures. Furthermore, 9Milk tokens can only be created by 9Cat NFTs. All 9Cats NFTs are tradable and entitle holders to participate in future metaverse releases.
Masters of 9Cat will also be eligible for a bonus 9Fishy as a special reward for keeping 9Cat safe. 9Fishy will function as a 9Photon-voucher, allowing users to redeem the 9Photon token to further prepare for the 9Cat Saga.
