Recently, players of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered have been having trouble with the online multiplayer aspect of the game, with Australia and New Zealand receiving the brunt of the issue.
The connection issue for players in Australia and New Zealand has been so bad that the game will only connect you for 30 seconds before disconnecting, according to Vooks. The issue didn’t only affect the Nintendo Switch version, but the iOS, Android, and PlayStation 4 versions were having trouble, too.
Since the discovery of the connection issue during its launch on the 27th of August, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered has since been removed from both the Nintendo Switch eShop as well as the PlayStation Store in Australia.
Square Enix has also released a statement on the official Final Fantasy Twitter account:
We have had reports that some players in Australia and New Zealand are having difficulty accessing the multiplayer feature of #FinalFantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. [1/3] pic.twitter.com/hnflMjTxRy

If you try to look for the game yourself in Australia’s browser-based eShop, you will only find an Error Code: 9001-1670 as well as text saying “This content is currently unavailable.”
However, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is somehow still available for both download and purchase on the App Store and Play Store.

Have you been experiencing these connectivity issues as well when playing the game? We’d love to hear from you down below!
