Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Bought Cheaply By Lucky Fans Thanks To Glitch

The age of next-generation consoles and games is just beginning, as the Xbox Series X|S released today with a few new games to play alongside it. One of these is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which is getting positive reviews from players and critics alike.

While most fans paid tens of dollars to own a copy of the game, or to buy it on the day of its release, the same can’t be told for several lucky fans. Thanks to what seems like a glitch, select players were able to buy a copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition at an extremely low price.

As a newly released title, the standard edition of the game costs $60 while its Ultimate Edition including all the freebies and rewards it has to offer is tagged at $120. However, lucky fans in Norway were in for an early Christmas treat when they discovered that the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition was being sold for just 109 Krones, or just above $10.

These types of monetary mistakes have occurred in the past, and usually, it instantly results in the cancellation of the glitched purchases.

However, the individuals who were lucky enough to purchase the game appears to be locked on their purchases since there is no sign that Ubisoft has reversed or canceled these purchases. Perhaps the most amazing part of this whole issue is the fact that the game’s main campaign begins in Norway and focuses mainly on the area.

It would have been an exciting promotional decision to provide players in the country a provisional discount, but the developers have provided no sign that this was intentional, so it appears like it is pure coincidence.

This glitch comes on the edge of a possible price increase for next-gen games for the first time in a couple of years. Publishers and developers have talked about the possibility of raising the cost of next-gen games, with some games launching at $70 rather than the usual $60 that standard releases have been since the current-gen consoles were released.

While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released with the usual price, gamers who are hesitating to spend another $10 on new titles may be notably jealous of their Norwegian friend who got away with this amazing deal.
