Streamer Ninja Quits Fortnite Because of Stream Sniping

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins might have totally quit Fortnite, the game that garnered him his original streaming fame, but after a myriad of stream snipes in his last casual play around with the sandbox title, he’s promised to leave Fortnite behind for good.

Ninja’s streaming career kicked off more than seven years ago, but his rise to popularity on Twitch as a productive Fortnite streamer, ultimately becoming one of the most successful and recognizable streamers in the world.

He’s credited with bringing Fortnite to even greater success, and was ultimately immortalized in the game via his own official custom skin. At the top of his remarkably fruitful career, Ninja was consistently related with Fortnite and vice versa, and his fan base grew by leaps and bounds during his time as a competitive Fortnite streamer.

However, Ninja’s Fortnite career ultimately came to an end, and after agreeing with an exclusive deal with Twitch, he moved on to other competitive titles such as League of Legends and Valorant, while also trying to broaden his horizons into voice acting and other endeavors.

Although he no longer plays Fortnite competitively, he does still wander back into Fortnite to play casually on stream. However, a recent streaming session, which was recorded and reposted on YouTube by thatdenverguy, saw several players looking for bragging rights allegedly stream-sniping Ninja’s four consecutive games.

It was enough to prompt the Fortnite star to disown Fortnite’s player base and to disclose that he would no longer stream any of his casual Fortnite sessions, so as not to provide stream-snipers a platform or the attention they desire.

Ninja has cried foul about stream snipers in the past, so it’s easy to be leery about his claims, but he declared in his stream that it was the same culprit behind all four of his deaths. It comes to attention what can be a sad price of popularity for many successful streamers – they are going to be targeted more frequently, specifically by those looking to take advantage on their popularity with bragging rights, and it can destroy what was once a remarkable gaming experience for those who earn a living via streaming. Obviously, this isn’t particularly easy to condole with considering just how much Ninja gets from streaming, but that doesn’t prohibit him from his right to enjoy a casual match of Fortnite in peace.
