We’re not sure why, but a crossover between Bridge Constructor and The Walking Dead was announced recently on Gamescom 2020. During the live stream, Headup Games released a live-action trailer for this upcoming game, which you can watch below:
To provide more context, Bridge Constructor is a physics-based puzzle game where you have to plan out and create a bridge across a river or ravine using limited parts. The goal of the game is to ensure that the vehicles will be able to cross successfully.
On the other hand, The Walking Dead is a famous comic book, TV show, and adventure game series where you have to survive the zombie apocalypse. At this point, you might wonder how these two games fit. We’re not quite sure yet either, especially since the trailer is only a live-action one and doesn’t show any gameplay.
Headup Games’ pitch goes like this, though:
Join a group of survivors as they fight against hordes of undead walkers and a hostile human community. Build bridges and other constructions through bleak landscapes and ruined structures.
Team up with fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Michonne and Eugene, and create safe passage for iconic vehicles from the series.
Use movable level objects, explosives and baits to your advantage as you lure walkers into lethal traps and guide your survivors to safety.
Enjoy the physics-based frenzy and ragdoll animations as walkers succumb to the forces of gravity.
If I were to make assumptions about the game, I’d think that you need to create bridges for the Walking Dead characters to cross on, ensuring that they don’t get eaten by the zombies.
Are you ready for the “ultimate mashup experience”? We’re definitely intrigued! Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead will be available on Steam sometime within the year.
