Among Us: Everything you need to know about the mobile hit game

Among Us is now one of the most famous mobile games of this generation. It has achieved more than 1.5 million downloads on both iOS and Android stores. Despite being a simple game, players can’t seem to put their gadgets down once they begin playing the game. What is in Among Us that makes everyone crazy?

Gameplay

It is hard to give this game a particular genre since it is on a world of its own. Generally, it is a game that matches crew members against impostors. In order to win, crew members need to complete tasks such as fixing the ship’s lights, refueling its tanks, and swiping their IDs.

On the other hand, playing as impostor tasks players to sabotage the ship’s systems and kill crew members without being caught. An impostor’s main goal is to kill enough crew members to make the number of impostors and crew members the same.

As the game progresses, crew members can report dead teammates. To do this, a team member calls every player who is still alive to join a conference and vote one player to be booted out of the ship.

This is where the fun begins as lies and deception become a crucial part in order to continue playing the game. Impostors can easily reason out and put the blame on others and continue with the killing spree.

The future of Among Us

The game was launched in 2018 but has recently gained popularity. The game itself has several bugs and glitches, especially with the matchmaking and servers. However, instead of fixing the game, the developers chose to make a sequel.

There aren’t any official announcements regarding Among Us 2 but they revealed that they are working on the foundations laid by the game already. This might mean more servers, better graphics, and visuals. Fans will just have to sit and wait on what Innersloth has in store for its fans.

Among Us is one good evidence that even old games can still become relevant with enough updates and marketing. Gamers who haven’t tried this game should try it as soon as possible since it has an addictive feature that makes it hard to put your phones down.
