It’s almost difficult to believe that it has already been six months since Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released. Within this time frame, Nintendo has launched several updates for the game with no additional charges. With the latest update just a few days from its launch, Nintendo has also confirmed the release window for another future seasonal update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
As mentioned above, the latest update for the game will be released on September 30 and will be themed for the upcoming Halloween season. Since the game was released, Nintendo has been constantly providing several seasonal updates for the game, each matching the events of the year. While the Halloween update hasn’t been officially launched, Nintendo has already started to tease another upcoming update, launching a few weeks after the fall update.
At the last seconds of the trailer for the Halloween update, Nintendo unveiled the release window for the upcoming Thanksgiving/Christmas update which is supposed to be released in late November. It will be fascinating to see all of the Christmas themed updates so soon after receiving the Halloween inspired items and clothes.
While Nintendo didn’t reveal more details about the new November update, the announcement was followed by photos of Franklin the turkey and Jingle the Reindeer. The turkey will host the Harvest Festival event for Thanksgiving, while the latter appears during Toy Day for the Christmas season, so it seems like both holidays are covered as part of the new update.
However, it is really strange that Nintendo chose to reveal the presence of a Christmas-themed update right before the fall update is released. Perhaps the Japanese gaming giant realized that players would be interested to know when the Christmas update will arrive considering how close these holidays are with each other. As a matter of fact, the Halloween update was released right after the fall Animal Crossing update back in the early days of September.
Regardless, it’s nice to know that Nintendo is already planning ahead in terms of free additional content updates. These updates always provide a set of new content to the game, adding countless new things to do since the Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released.
In fact, just a few weeks after the game was released, a free Easter-themed update was announced, though it included a few additions that weren’t well-received, particularly on the excessive number of exclusive event eggs spread across the whole island.
In addition to the new update, Animal Crossing Amiibo cares will also be making a comeback in November. Series 1 to 4 Amiibo Cards will soon be available again at select retailer stores. A pack will cost $6 and will contain six cards. Players can use these cards to summon villagers to live on the island.
This November, #AnimalCrossing #amiibo Cards Series 1-4 make their return to select retailers for $5.99 per pack. Use the amiibo cards to Invite characters to live on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as other features!https://t.co/VcPSj4tKZU pic.twitter.com/aHSJy5Qo6X

It is amazing how Nintendo has controlled to stay on top of launching these free additional content updates in a constant and prompt manner. These contents, along with several additional updates the company has prepared for the game will certainly give fans of the game a lot of new things to do and accomplish within their Animal Crossing Islands.
