Pharaoh: A New Era, a full remake of the 1999 city building game, is among the many titles announced during Gamescom 2020. As mentioned, Pharaoh is a city building game wherein you are tasked to create and maintain an ancient Egyptian city.
With Pharaoh: A New Era, you will be getting a modernized remake. What makes this remake so special, however, is the fact that studio Triskell Interactive decided to redo the game from the ground up. What’s more, it will be able to support 4K, and even the gameplay was updated to fit today’s gaming standards.
Similar to the original Pharaoh, A New Era has a campaign mode that teaches you how the game works, all the while allowing you to experience a fleshed-out story as you explore the metropolis you have built.
Not only that, but this remake has over 50 new missions that you can do as well as over 100 hours of gameplay. These are some of the features that Pharaoh: A New Era has to offer, as listed on its Steam page:
● Rediscover the classic city builder Pharaoh and its expansion, Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile, in an all-new remake
● Explore Ancient Egypt and its 4,000 years of history across 50 missions
● Marvel at Ancient Egypt’s most iconic and beautiful monuments with completely overhauled Ultra HD graphics
● Erect the Egypt of your dreams with the map editor mode
The game doesn’t have an exact release date just yet, but its Steam page states that it will be released soon – whenever that is. For now, you can wishlist it on Steam and follow the game for future updates.
