The first season of “The Last of Us” ended last March 12th, and now the rumor mills are churning for a brand-new second season. Since the rumors say its projected premiere will still be in 2025, you might want to check out this post while in transit.
The two main actors of “The Last of Us,” Bella Ramsey as Ellie and Pedro Pascal as Joel, performed stellar in the first season. Of course, being actors for the show’s two main characters, they will absolutely be back for the upcoming season.
But, did you know that Ramsey and Pascal were also part of another hit HBO series, “The Game of Thrones”? Yes, you read that right.
‘The Last Of Us’
Based on the game of the same name, “The Last of Us” is set in the post-apocalyptic United States, in a world that has heavily been ravaged by a pandemic caused by a fungus known as “cordyceps,” capable of turning its hosts into violent zombie-like creatures who will then also spread the infection.
As this pandemic and crisis destroy civilization and humanity, a hardened survivor, Joel (Pedro Pascal), takes charge of a 14-year-old girl, Ellie (Bella Ramsey), who is immune from the infection and may be humanity’s last hope.
‘Game Of Thrones’
On the other hand, “Game of Thrones” is another HBO series based on a novel by George R. R. Martin. “Game of Thrones” tells the story of nine noble families fighting for control over the lands of Westeros, one of the four known continents in the known world, as an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for around a thousand years.
“The Last of Us” and “Game of Thrones” are both on HBO. As what is usually the norm, it is kind of expected to see some of the actors for one to be present in the other.
Bella Ramsey In ‘Game Of Thrones’
Ramsey played the role of Lady Lyanna Mormont in the sixth, seventh, and eighth seasons of “Game of Thrones.”
Mormont was the only child of Lady Maege Mormont. Following her mom’s demise, she then succeeded her as Lady of Bear Island at only eight years old. But, despite her young age, she exhibited noteworthy assertiveness and a fierce loyalty to House Stark, a Great House of Westeros.
Mormont is Ramsey’s first-ever acting role. Wow, what a talented girl.
Pedro Pascal In ‘Game Of Thrones’
On the other hand, Pascal played the role of Prince Oberyn Martell in the “Game of Thrones” TV series.
Martell, also known as the Red Viper of Dorne, was a member of House Martell – the ruling family of Dorne – the younger brother of Doran Martell and the late Elia Martell, the dad of eight bastard girls pertained to as the Sand Snakes, and a member of the Small Council for Dorne to Tommen I. Martell was famous for his skill with a staff and his spirit for vengeance.
Ramsey and Pascal may not have played massive roles in “Game of Thrones,” so seeing themselves playing the lead roles in “The Last of Us” should be a blessing.
