IO Interactive Reveals the Contents of Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition

IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 is expected to launch this month, and fans are more than ready to dive into the latest entry in the World of Assassination trilogy. These days, video games come in different editions, which vary in price and content. Seeing as the highly anticipated stealth-action title is almost upon us, fans are beginning to wonder what they’ll get if they choose to purchase these premium, pricier editions rather than the standard one.

Thanks to Clemens Koch, IO Interactive’s Community Developer, we now have a good idea of what’s included in the most expensive edition. PlayStation’s official YouTube channel recently shared an unboxing video of Hitman 3’s Deluxe Edition, and it looks like it’s packed with all kinds of incredible goodies. Fans of the trilogy will definitely appreciate this special copy of the game, as it includes soundtracks, exclusive in-game items, and more.

Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition, which is priced at $79.99, will be launched on January 20, 2021 along with the standard edition. The unboxing was presented by Koch himself, who goes over each item included in the edition. For starters, the base game will naturally be included.

Not only that, players will be able to acquire “Deluxe” Escalation contracts, which offers bonus objectives in three different maps available in the game. Each of these additional contracts will supposedly unlock new items and outfits. What makes this even more exciting is the fact that according to Koch, these unlockables will come from previous games in the franchise.

He then reveals the different outfits, starting with Hitman: Blood Money’s gold devil suit from the “A Dance with the Devil” mission. Another one is the Red Dragon Triad outfit from Hitman: Codename 47, while another is from the Belingford Manor in Hitman Contracts.

Thos who enjoy learning about a game’s development will surely enjoy Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition, as it also includes commentary by director Mattias Engström. His commentary will not only talk about the different in-game levels, but it will also offer insight on how each level was made as well as its creative process.

The soundtracks for Hitman, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 will also be included in the edition, allowing fans of the series’ music to listen to their favorite soundtracks wherever they go. Last but not least, there will also be an artbook included called “The World of Hitman.” It contains artistic versions of the different locations found in Hitman 3, along with other interesting details such about various characters, lore, and many others.

Without a doubt, Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition looks like a comprehensive copy for avid fans of the franchise who have extra money to spare. Besides, there’s a big chance that Hitman fans won’t be seeing the stoic Agent 47 for quite a while after this entry, especially since IO Interactive has already confirmed that it will start working on a new James Bond video game called Project 007 after this.

That being said, the developer appears to be going all out in this third installment—complete with a variety of new assassination methods and 6 brand-new maps.
