If there’s one word to describe the Avatar media franchise, it is that it is epic. Created by James Cameron, the director of “Titanic,” Avatar tells the story of the existential struggles of a humanoid species known as the local tribe of Na’vi.
“Avatar” broke several box office records and also was hailed as the highest-grossing movie of all time. It was also nominated for nine awards at the 82nd Oscars, winning three, and received several other accolades from various award-giving bodies.
Curiously 13 long years after the first movie, the series gave birth to a sequel, “Avatar: The Way of Water.” Like its predecessor, it was also widely received.
Watching a movie in the cinema is still a worthwhile activity to do whether you are with family or friends. Despite the popularity of at-home video streaming platforms, right? In the cinema, viewers usually look forward to staying until after the credits since there might be a post-credits scene. Sadly, for those who don’t know and just leave as the credits start – unless they’ve looked it up online.
These post-credits scenes shouldn’t be missed, as they usually give a glimpse of the next movie’s plot.
So, for those who will be watching “Avatar: The Way of Water” for the first time, is there a post-credits scene to look forward to in this movie?
Unfortunately, for those who get elated with a post-credits scene, “Avatar: The Way of Water” does not have this, but be sure to stick around to see the very ending to get to know the talented visual effects wizards and geniuses who spent their time creating such a groundbreaking technical masterpiece.
The film’s director, Cameron, does not seem to be a fan of post-credits scenes as even his other movies do not have them. We can’t blame the fans for craving these scenes as they have grown in popularity in today’s DC and Marvel Cinematic Universes.
Does “Avatar: The Way of Water” have a post-credits scene? It doesn’t.
