Iconic movie director John Carpenter is a satisfied fan of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Carpenter is responsible for a plethora of classic movies such as popular horror films such as Halloween and The Thing. Though most of his movies were overlooked as flops when they were launched, they have since earned fame with many considering The Thing as one of the best horror movies of all time.
In contrast, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not a horror movie at all. It’s Ubisoft’s newest installment to the long-running franchise of historical action games that span a wide swath of human history. Valhalla lets players take on the role of Eivor, a Viking warrior who invades England in 873 AD.
The game was launched a few weeks ago as one of the most popular games available on the next-gen consoles. Critics have lauded the game for its enhancements over past games in the franchise but the game has drawn its fair share of complaints about the high number of bugs and glitches; a sadly common situation for the series in its entirety.
ASSASSIN'S CREED VALHALLA is a return to excellence in the franchise. Massive open world, beautifully designed, with great gameplay. Incredible game.

However, one player has been taken away by the prowess of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and that’s John Carpenter. The director posted on Twitter to praise the game a few hours ago. According to the film director, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a “return to excellence” for the franchise.
He was particularly amazed by the size and design of the open world, which provides players a free tour of the ancient English countryside. The lands that were featured in the game world take direct inspiration from real-world areas in the region, to add an extra feel of realism that it appears Carpenter is a big fan of. He also lauded its gameplay and in general, found it to be an impressive game.
John Carpenter is without any doubt not renowned for his game reviews. Even on his social media account, most of the director’s missives are naturally concerned more with his movies, and with revealing new projects he is involved with. Carpenter has lingered basically quiet on the realm of video games for some time now, and witnessing him suddenly give his praises for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has absolutely caught several fans by surprise.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, based on most reviews, is a solid game. The next-gen consoles do a lot to enhance most of the problems that held the new game back on the current-gen devices. The Assassin’s Creed series has been developing a very faithful gaming community over the course of the past few years, entertaining them with a wide array of impressive and historical features.
Most of these long-time players are certainly enjoying living their lives as Vikings in the game right now and now they can do so with the fact that John Carpenter himself is among them as a satisfied fan.
