PlayStation Plus December 2020 Lineup Headlined By Rocket Arena and Just Cause 4

The free games that will be offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers for December, bringing Worms Rumble, Rocket Arena, and Just Cause 4 to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players. These games will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download and play for free but will only be available for a short time only.

Compared to this month’s free games, December appears a bit lackluster. November offered PlayStation Plus subscribers Hollow Knight Voidheart Edition and Middle-Earth Shadow of War. In addition, PlayStation Plus subscribers were offered the first-ever free PlayStation 5 title – the current-gen release game Bugsnax.

Hollow Knight is a highly acclaimed game that incorporates the agonizing difficulty of 2D platforming with Dark Souls and artsy visuals making it a must-own game for PlayStation players while Bugsnax has proven itself as an underdog for the PlayStation 5 winning over the hearts of players who arrived at Snaktooth Island.

Now, PlayStation has revealed the three upcoming games that will be free this coming December – Worms Rumble, Rocket Arena, and Just Cause 4. These games will be free to download and play beginning Tuesday, December 1, and PlayStation Plus subscribers will have until January 4 to get them. These games will be available for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. Players who will be getting these games will gain access to them for as long as they have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

This disappointing lineup of free games features the 2020 game Rocket Arena, which has yet to prove itself a success. A few weeks after its launch, it was permanently discounted to just $5. Just Cause 4 is a predictable game to make it to the PlayStation Plus list of free games since every game from the franchise has been given away at some point. Worms Rumble is another game that PlayStation has opted to offer PlayStation Plus subscribers for free during its release month, and hopefully, it will be as well-received as Bugsnax last November.

Whether or not players will be hyped about next month’s lineup of free PlayStation Plus games, they are still three games that players can try out without spending a single dime. Who knows, Rocket Arena might finally gain the popularity it desperately needs, while Worms Rumble might end up being a smash hit.

Nonetheless, everyone needs something to pass the time while being stuck inside their homes, and next month’s free PlayStation Plus titles guarantee at least a few hours of game time.
