The 9th Crunchyroll Anime Awards

Big Changes

The awards show is introducing new and big changes in the competition. Some started during the 2024 edition, such as the expansion now covering five seasons or quarters worth of anime. 

According to the streaming platform, this format was decided upon to ensure no anime goes uncelebrated and fans can vote for their favorites without the streaming platform playing favorites, influencing their votes. Voting begins this April and will end on April 14th. To vote, simply register on the official website of Crunchyroll.

Brand-New Categories

The new categories for this year’s edition are Best Isekai and Best Hindi Voice Artist. The returning categories are Best Main Character and Best Opening Sequence. 

The awards show’s judges will choose nominees for each category before the voting takes place. The jury consists of global creatives, tastemakers, experts, and influencers.

Rahul Purini, president of Crunchyroll, issued a statement: “The Crunchyroll Anime Awards is one of the biggest moments for anime all year, thanks to the creators honored and fans who will decide the winners. 1. Keldeo, Zarude, And Hoopa

Note that it’s not just Zygarde here, but a 100% Zygarde, that’s right. To obtain its 100 percent form, several routes must be completed, which means you must explore trails that other players created. As you move along those Routes, you will encounter some Zygarde cells. Now, you must collect 250 cells to get this rare Pokémon in your hands. Difficult? You can do it.

5. Vivillon

This butterfly-like Pokémon may be beautiful, but don’t let looks fool you, as it is incredibly difficult to catch. But, if you insist on owning this creature, you must spend 125 Candies and perhaps even more, as that count is for each pattern. So, 125 must be multiplied by 18. Whoa. You’ve got first to reach Rank 24 in the Battle League, and attaining this rank is not easy. However, Trainers who can get to this rank in a single session will receive a Pikachu Libre as their reward.

8. Melmetal

The relatively most uncomplicated way to own a Melmetal is to send over Meltan from your “Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee.” But that’s also not an easy feat. But once you do, you can get more Candies and find your way from there. Alternatively, you may also make Meltan your buddy to get more Candies, but that takes time. Weigh your options.

9. Volcarona

Volcarona is also a stunningly beautiful Pokémon, but it is rare. Likewise, even if Larvesta is available when you have its 2k, 5k, and 10km eggs, its hatch level is still at Level 5, the hardest. Furthermore, to evolve Larvesta into Volcarona, you must have a whopping 400 Candies, so you must stretch your limbs, and use Rare candies and Buddy Walking to reach this goal. Too much sweat. 

10. Galarian Legendary Birds

11. Gholdengo

Next is Gholdengo. Their appearance already looks like they’re fooling you, and what more if they’re rare. You must have the Golden Lure Module, which you can get by sending Postcards for five days in a row before you can obtain your Gholdengo. However, the Module can provide you with 999 Gimmighoul coins you need to evolve its pre-evolved form to Gholdengo.

12. Frigibax

Since Frigibax has been added to 10km Eggs, whose tier is the fifth rarity, the hatch rate is nearly zero. Also, you must have a whopping 125 Candies if you wish to reach its last evolution, Braxcalibur. So, be sure you have taken your dinner before you play “Go” to get Frigibax because you must keep those eggs cracking.

Let’s start the New Year in the weirdest of ways. You know “The Sims” gaming series is the most incredible life simulation video game ever created, and the world is hooked day by day. But, though it is a life simulation, there are so many death scenes you can explore in the game. As much as you make an effort to provide a good life for your Sim, it is also as easy to end their life. Yes, so here are all the possible ways to kill your Sim in “The Sims 4,” with a discussion on how each works. Vicious.

Death By Old Age

Various gaming lists and video game insiders will have multiple items when talking about the possible ways to kill your Sim in “The Sims 4,” but what PVP Live has here are the best, relatively speaking.

Those who don’t want to resort to the really gruesome ways can just choose to wait until their Sim gets old and dies. Yes, this way is boring, but at least it will save you from remorse. To kill your Sim by old age, simply let them live their lives as they are, keep them safe from accidents, such as fire and other hazards, and the like. Some elders may also die peacefully in their sleep rather than simply collapsing. 

Death By Starvation

This is another classic way to kill off your Sim in “The Sims 4,” but think of this as leveling up. The ways to kill Sims on this list will only get more and more intense as you read along. Next is starvation. 

It’s easy to do this. Instead of satiating your Sim’s hunger, leave them without food. If your settings are set in such a way that your Sim will automatically hunt for food, you can choose to trap them in a place without a fridge, cooler, or other food sources, then wait for them to die by starvation. Creepy.

Death By Fire

It’s not as classic and familiar as the previous two, but killing your Sim by fire is possible among those who are careless while playing the game. Even in real life, if you do not have sufficient cooking skills, you will kill your Sim by fire from the stove. 

But aside from not gaining Cooking skills, your Sim may also die by fire if you use a rocket, cause fire in the “Laundry Day Stuff” added feature by not cleaning the lint off the dryer, or leave your house really dusty, as dust is a fire hazard, even in the real world. 

Also, those who own “Fitness Stuff” may also murder their Sim by fire by trying and intentionally failing the extreme rock wall climbing challenge. It’s New Year, so careless management of fireworks also causes deadly fires. Looking for something weirder? Did you know that ghosts in “Paranormal Stuff” also cause fire that kills?

Death By Drowning

The fun game “Dumb Ways to Die” will certainly cringe if you kill your Sim before their intended time of death in “The Sims 4.” Another way to kill your Sim is by drowning. Also a classic, this may not be the quickest way as you can generally survive a drowning moment, but it is one of the easiest to do, especially if you have a swimming pool.

But, it’s not as easy as you think it is, similar to real life, where you cannot intentionally drown yourself. There are technicalities here. Instead of just removing the pool ladder from the previous “The Sims” video games, you only need to block the edges of your pool using a fence. Your Sim will then gradually reduce their needs until there’s no other choice but to drown. 

Meanwhile, you may also pull your Sim down to the depths of the waters for a faster death by drowning if you don’t feed the fish in the water garden. Cool and vicious.

Death By Emotional Distress

Alright, “The Sims” games were not created to make fun of life, but rather to mimic it, even during death. So, as much as some emotional distress can cause death in real life, this also causes death for your Sim. Prolonged extreme emotions of anger, embarrassment, and playfulness cause emotional deaths. 

To exaggerate the playfulness of your Sim, you can have them take bubble baths, tell jokes, and watch comedy until they laugh hysterically and die. 

Also, part of this way is Death by Mortification or your Sim feeling embarrassed when you remove bathroom doors, engage in awkward talks, or soil themselves in public.

Death By Electrocution

You’ve seen Michelle Pfeiffer do it in “Batman Returns” with her character as the Catwoman and death by electrocution never dies. It happens intentionally or unintentionally, such as when your Sim loves to fix things, and they get electrocuted along the way. 

However, there are also technical aspects here. Death by electrocution happens in two significant stages. First, your Sim will be dazed and a jolt of electricity will, well, finish them off. Or, deliberately not work on their Handiness skill so when they attempt to repair something at home, they will get electrocuted before they even know it.

There are several other ways to kill off your Sim for those who want the pleasure of seeing others die. These include death by overexertion, from the Cow Plant, from a Meteor, and – oddly – from a Wishing Well – from a sauna session, and so much more.
