On the surface, it would appear that the Deluxe edition of “Hogwarts Legacy” is better than its Standard version. Just seeing the word “deluxe” means it has to be grander, right? But there is way more stuff to consider that can make one better than the other. This comparison guide will explore the differences between the game’s Standard and Deluxe editions. 

The Standard Edition

Like “NBA 2K25,” “Hogwarts Legacy” is divided into three editions. So far, there are actually the Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions. The first two are available on the game’s official website, while the Collector’s Edition is available from third-party sources. 

The game’s Standard Edition is the simplest version. It comes with every original content the developers have prepared for you but without additional digital or physical content. It was released in February 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It was made available for Nintendo Switch in November 2023.   

The Deluxe Edition

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition offers more perks, considering that you will pay more for it. Aside from what’s in the Standard edition, there are extra in-game content to flesh out your wizarding world dreams. 

It was released around the same time as the Standard Edition for PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X/S, and Switch in November 2023. 

What’s New In ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ Deluxe Edition?

2. Dark Arts Garrison Hat

This Hat is more of a fashion piece and statement rather than performing a function. You can only have it after you have been sorted into a House. It doesn’t affect the general stats of your character whatsoever. 

3. Dark Arts Cosmetic Set

This set includes the Dark Arts Robe, Dark Arts Gloves, and the Dark Arts Ensemble, or that which makes your character look like a Death Eater.

4. Dark Arts Battle Arena

The Battle Arena that will set the perfect place for you to enjoy all four Unforgivable Curses. 

Pre-Order Bonuses

Both the editions will provide you with bonuses if you pre-order them. These include the Onyx Hippogriff Mount and the Felix Felicis potion recipe that will allow you to concoct Liquid Luck. The Liquid Luck allows you to explore more places in a day. 

Prices And Designs

Visiting the official website of “Hogwarts Legacy,” you will also notice a significant difference: the designs of those editions. The cover design of the Deluxe Edition is darker, like Hogwarts by nighttime, compared to the presence of sunlight over the School in the Standard Edition’s design. But that doesn’t mean there’s more darkness in the Deluxe Edition. The experience is generally the same. Maybe the difference in design only connotes the availability of the Dark Arts new features. 

As for the price, of course, the Standard Edition is cheaper. For instance, for the PlayStation console on the PlayStation store, the game costs $69.99, while the Deluxe Edition in the same category is $79.99.

It’s best for defense and very lightweight, too. It also just requires 10 Strength, making it the ideal shield for all classes in the game. Go ahead and give this a try. It’s straightforward to get your hands on this.

5. Brass Shield: Best For Balanced Defense

Who wouldn’t want a shield for balanced defense, right, especially when you don’t want your defense strategies to be all over the place? When selecting the best shield for your player, initially consider focusing on medium-sized ones because of the balance they offer between weight and protection. This Brass Shield offers 100 Physical Damage reduction and 56 Guard Boost. That means you can use this shield to manage blows and still stay alive amid a sequence of attacks. While not the best early-game shield, you can still find this shield at this phase of the game.

6. Golden Greatshield: Best Greatshield

There is no jibber-jabber here, but the best greatshield is actually the Golden Greatshield. Let’s start with the downside. This shield is heavier than the others, requiring tons of Endurance to make their capabilities possible. However, they have incredibly high guard boost values and offer some of the best protection in the game. 

The Golden Greatshield offers the right balance of stability and weight, making it the preferred among players who want Strength at its finest and guard counter-focused builds. It may be heavy, but it is still on the lighter spectrum compared to other greatshields. Block attacks before your stamina gets depleted.

7. Visage Shield: Best For Magic Resistance

Get to Caelid to find this shield that is best for magic resistance. The Visage Shield is also very useful for crowd control. Perfect for character builds that put tanking a priority over others. 

This hulking shield just requires 44 Strength to wield. Even if it is available early in the game, you won’t be able to use it until you have gained sufficient stats. It can block 100 percent of Physical Damage and has high mitigation for several magic types as well. Don’t forget to utilize its Tongues of Fire skill, allowing the shield to spray flames even while walking, making it helpful for pushing enemies back and garnering some space. Yes, it sprays flames, but still a defense tool.

8. Carian Knight’s Shield: Best For Sorcery Defense

Here’s another shield that can help you defend yourself from sorceries. The Carian Knight’s Shield should be preferred if you wish to increase your defenses against magic, like how the Visage Shield works. Aside from 100 Physical Damage Reduction, it also has 71 Magic Reduction, relatively higher than the Brass Shield. The downside: its 49 Guard Boost. Nevertheless, it is a fantastic shield to wield.

Horses are an iconic part of the Wild West, and so are in the “Red Dead Redemption” game series. In this game, horses are pretty useful. 

On horseback, you can lasso your enemies, otherwise hogtie or drag them to death. You may also gun them down from horseback, otherwise trample them with the mount. 

However, not every horse in the game is deemed fit for these purposes. Some stand out, but some won’t just do you well. Here are the worst horses to avoid in “Red Dead Redemption 2.” 

1. Standard Horse

Obviously, when something is just standard, it won’t meet your expectations. Furthermore, this name isn’t even a horse breed. Instead, it is a placeholder name of a horse that appears in the story events in “Red Dead Redemption 2.” What’s more, you cannot mount or ride it. So, it’s best if you put this in the lowest priority.

2. Morgan

Next up are the Morgans. While they are riding horses and widespread, they are not the best overall. Being widespread, their stats in every aspect are so low. All in all, it is typically just a horse for a short ride to get you somewhere, and not a horse you can build a relationship and reach goals with. If you insist on owning this horse, buy it from a stable. 

3. Scrawny Nag

Now, if that name doesn’t give you any idea of how useless this horse is. This Scrawny Nag is the perfect example of a horse that requires the player almost no effort to acquire. While they may have this early in the game, they’ll itch replacing this sooner. 

Given the sheer number of this animal you can tame or buy in the game, including the exclusive horse breeds not present in the story mode, it’s very easy to see why players want to replace this as soon as possible. Players can have this horse with them from start to finish, but they’re just making their lives miserable. 

4. Kentucky Saddler

This horse may have a classy game, but this isn’t the horse you’d want to catch. It’s just a medium-sized riding horse with meager stats like Morgan. It’s also a quick-trip horse that is inefficient for long rides. You can purchase it from the stable. 

5. Tennessee Walker

This horse may be named “Tennessee Walker,” but even Tennessee state can disown it. It is meant to be walked or ridden, but the latter not being extensive. You can have this early in the game as it’s the very first horse you’ll get in “Red Dead Redemption 2.” But, unfortunately, it won’t be in your stable for so long. If you insist on getting one and trying the experience with it, go for the Flaxen Roan, which relatively has the best stats and can provide you with illustrious profits if you decide to sell it.

6. Belgian

The Belgian is a horse in “Red Dead Redemption 2” that you can find by pulling a trolley. It may be firm, but never fast nor agile. It has two coats, the Mealy Chestnut and Blond Chestnut, which you can acquire by stealing. Oops.  

7. Shire

On the surface, the Shire is the most giant horse in “Red Dead Redemption 2” and is among the strongest as well. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. What lies beneath the iceberg is what matters. They can pull anything you want to hook them up, but they won’t help you turn in profits basically because they are tough to handle. If you insist, be sure to choose the Raven Black with a bit better stamina than the rest. 

Get the coat during the Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego quest in the second chapter. However, the Light Grey and Dark Bay types must be stolen.

8. Suffolk Punch

The Suffolk Punch horses are used for wagon and coaches pulling. While their stamina and health levels are promising, they’re notorious for having lower speed and acceleration, as well as lousy agility. You’d never want them in your collection. But, if you wish to, both its Red Chestnut and Sorrel coats can be obtained by stealing. 

9. Appaloosa

The Appaloosa is also a horse that “Red Dead Redemption 2” players would shake their heads to. Its stats are better than the previous horses here – stamina, endurance, and more. You can ride them for long trips, and they can survive an ambush. But those are not enough for it to be considered good. Buy its Brown Leopard coat from the Tumbleweed Stable and the Leopard coat from the Van Horn Trading Post.  

10. Nokota

On the other hand, Nokotas are racehorses, so they possess well-built frames with strong legs for the best quickness and agility. But, compared with other breeds, they have lower health and stamina stats, making them a problematic ally for long rides and intense combat. It also showcases a skittish nature, which makes them hard to control during stressful scenarios. 

11. American Standardbred

Though it has good use, the American Standardbred is the weakest of all race horses in “Red Dead Redemption 2.” Like the Nokota, they are also very skittish, though they have decent speed. Instead of the American Standardbred, choose the Silver Tail Buckskin and Palomino. 

12. Thoroughbred

These racehorses can be promising, but there are many other better choices. Most of their coat types can only be tamed. Meanwhile, its Brindle variant can be bought from the Strawberry Stable. 

Sadly, some of the horses in “Red Dead Redemption 2,” albeit beautiful, are just meant for display, or you won’t progress significantly in the game when you ride them.

However, the “Dragon Ball” series goes beyond just “Dragon Ball Z.” There are a whole lot of other shows that feature the adventures of the heroes and villains on their search for the Dragon Balls. This guide will teach you how to watch the series in historical order. Yes, the “Dragon Ball” story is a history.

‘Dragon Ball’

Start with “Dragon Ball,” not “Dragon Ball Z,” okay? Find that title because this is the beginning of your chronological viewing of the series. Aired and broadcast in 81 countries worldwide, this first-ever TV series adaptation of the franchise spanned over 100 episodes from February 1986 to April 1989. 

“Dragon Ball” follows the quests of Son Goku, a young, odd boy with a monkey tail but exceptional strength. He is passionate about fighting and defeating evil.  

‘Dragon Ball Z’

Here you go. “Dragon Ball Z,” to your thinking, isn’t the first in chronology, but actually the second. Here, you see the adventures of Goku continuing, but now in his adult life as he and his comrades defend the Earth against evil, such as aliens – Frieza and Vegeta – androids – Cell – and magical beings like Majin Buu. The story also tackles Goku’s son, Gohan, and the story progression of his rivals, Vegeta and Piccolo. “Dragon Ball Z” was also broadcast worldwide from 1989 to 1996, shortly after the end of “Dragon Ball.”

‘Dragon Ball Kai’

You may also place this series second on your list instead of “Dragon Ball Z.” Though “Dragon Ball Kai” aired much later, from 2009 to 2011 and from 2014 to 2015, it is also considered the continuation of “Dragon Ball.”

Here, Goku and his buddies, as usual, continue to fight to save the planet, but this time, from the last remaining alien races. The Saiyans are approaching Earth, anxious to take over it and defeat Goku, then already regarded as the world’s strongest and greatest fighter. Goku then prepares to battle against Prince Vegeta, the Saiyan warlord, together with his minions. Action-packed, indeed.

‘Super Dragon Ball Heroes’

Now, that title is cute, it is cute. “Super Dragon Ball Heroes” hit your screens from 2018 until recently. Well, it’s more of a web series than a TV series like the other “Dragon Ball” classics, but it’s nothing short of spectacular. There were 56 episodes released from July 2018 to August 2024. 

The placement of the series as third here can spark debate. While others say it is set beyond the main continuity of the series, it is considered following the previous show on this list in terms of the events.

“Super Dragon Ball Heroes” may be considered a “spinoff.” It features alternate timelines, vigorous transformations, and fan-favorite characters from the “Dragon Ball” universe. You will still see Goku and Vegeta here, don’t worry. 

‘Dragon Ball Super’

As you can see, the “Dragon Ball” creative team isn’t the most inventive when thinking of titles. Also based on the manga of the same title, this show follows the adventures of Goku and his buddies during the 10-year timeskip after the defeat of Majin Buu. It is also interesting to note that this show is set during the time frame of the late Akira Toriyama’s original “Dragon Ball” manga. Viewers in Japan saw the show from July 2025 to March 2018.

‘Dragon Ball GT’ (Most Interesting!)

Then, be sure to watch “Dragon Ball GT” afterward. Note here that “Dragon Ball GT” is the most interesting part of the franchise. Surprise, surprise, this does not adapt Toriyama’s manga. Instead, it is exclusively an anime, a sequel to “Dragon Ball Z,” but with the same characters and universe as the original storyline.

“Dragon Ball GT” follows the adventures of Goku, who, get this, is turned into a child (imagine “Detective Conan”). But, here, his granddaughter, Pan, and their associates embark on a quest to collect the Black Star Dragon Balls, touted as more powerful than the usual Dragon Balls. They are hidden across the galaxy. 

‘Dragon Ball DAIMA’

Last but not least is “Dragon Ball DAIMA.” About to air soon this year, the story revolves around Goku and his friends shrinking due to a conspiracy. In this situation, they set on an adventure to explore the unknown Demon Realm, crossing paths with Supreme Kai, Pansy, and Glorio.

Now, every Bebop’s manning crew member has their quarters on the ship. Can you even believe that the Bebop also has general housing facilities, such as a living room and kitchen? Outlaw Star – ‘Outlaw Star’

Can any other spaceship top the Outlaw Star, as it is the title of the anime it is from itself? This spaceship’s unique design sets it apart from other spaceships in the science fiction anime genre. During the creation of this vessel, two Grappler Arms were set up at the bottom of the ship, making it even more powerful. These allow its pilots to use hand-to-hand combat, pick up items, and even wield weapons. 

Aside from the Grappler Arms, another interesting yet odd feature of the Outlaw Star is its navigation system, which takes the form of a mysterious and pretty android girl named Melfina. Overall, from its weaponry, and strange and state-of-the-art technology, the Outlaw Star is a dream. 

Ryo-Ohki – ‘Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki’

“Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki” is rather a low-key anime, not as popular as the others. It revolves around the story of a teenager named Tenchi Masaki, whose life drastically changes as soon as he unleashes an ancient space pirate from seven centuries ago. That pirate is

Now, Ryo-Ohki is also a unique anime spaceship because it functions not just as a spaceship. Aside from having the ability to transform into a sleek black vessel that can traverse the stars and fire laser beams, she also has this alter ego of a tiny, fluffy creature that resembles a mix between a rabbit and a cat but loves to eat dozens of carrots. True story. 

Aloha Oe –  ‘Space Dandy’

“Space Dandy” is not your typical anime. It is a sci-fi show that parodies and mocks the usual tropes of the genre even. Taking inspiration from other anime titles such as “Cowboy Bebop,” this anime follows the cool guy and alien hunter Dandy on his many quests in space. Together with his crew, he travels across the galaxy riding a bright yellow spaceship known as the Aloha Oe. Because of its design featuring striking colors and unique features, there’s no way you should miss this Hawaiian-inspired craft. 

Moreover, it comes with every feature that every significant spacecraft needs, such as lasers for combatting aliens, boosters to reach high speed, and even an escape pod. Aloha Oe also transforms into a battle mech – yes, like Gundam – known as the Hawaiian Yankee. Dandy uses this to beat bad guys. With these features, this “Space Dandy” spacecraft is capable of anything.

Yamato – ‘Uchuu Senkan Yamato (Star Blazers)’

Alright, alright, calm down, calm down – as Taylor Swift would say. If you are a history geek too, you know that Yamato is the name of a vessel that’s part of modern Japanese history. Specifically, during World War II, the Yamato was the leading and flagship of the Japanese Combined Fleet. It was one of the heaviest and biggest ships, if not the biggest, ever constructed, but sank during the Battle of Okinawa. The anime continues that story. Spaceship Yamato in “Uchuu Senkan Yamato (Star Blazers)” was built from the remains of the original maritime vessel that would soon become humanity’s best hope after the Earth got invaded by aliens. The merging of real history and anime story here is what amazes us. 

Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren – ‘Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann’

Not Samsung Galaxy, but Super Galaxy. This spaceship comes from the anime “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann,” hailed as one of the best mecha animes ever. Watching the anime, you’ll be treated to not just one, not just two, and not just three, but multiple epic battleships and mecha. 

The fearsome Lordgenome once owned this colossal spacecraft, but in the last act of the series, the anime’s hero, Simon, claims it, turning it into the flagship of Team Dai-Gurren on their mission to rescue Nia Teppelin, Lordgenome’s daughter, who he disowned.
