Best And Most Stirring Sports VR Games On The Meta Quest 3

0

Virtual reality, more popularly known as “VR,” has changed how gamers feel the thrill of their favorite gameplays. From taking them to uncharted territories in the world of gaming to introducing them to a realm they have not explored yet, VRs are bringing something new to the table.

The Meta Quest 3 has ushered them into everything ideal in gaming. With features from breakthrough mixed reality to the power of voice commands, this stunning gaming console is headed to a brighter future, of course. Sports, included. Let’s look at the best and most stirring sports VR games on Meta Quest 3.

What Is The Meta Quest 3 And What Are Its Best Features?

Especially for beginner gamers, they must know that the Meta Quest 3 has inspired generations to experience life beyond the constraints of reality. If you wish to learn about this trending headset, read on.

“The Meta Quest 3 headset blends virtual reality and camera video of your everyday world to create mixed reality,” said popular technology website CNET.

PVP Live couldn’t agree more. This headset is Meta’s best yet, designed to provide gamers with an immersive and more affordable introduction into the world of virtual reality gaming, including social experiences and productivity.

It did not take so long before Meta Quest 3 rose to fame. Shortly after its launch in 2023, it served as an upgrade to its predecessor, the Meta Quest 2, featuring enhanced graphics, improved performance, and a more attractive design. With higher-resolution displays and a quicker-acting processor, this headset seeks to deliver a hyperrealistic and seamless VR experience.

It can also introduce mixed reality, allowing gamers to combine both real and virtual worlds. The headset’s enhanced sensors and cameras support this, improving the overall interactive experience.

Concerning its prerequisites, it doesn’t need a PC and console, obviously, as you can wear them like your wireless earbuds. This makes it appealing to both casual and dedicated VR gamers, uplifting the boundaries of virtual interaction and entertainment.

4 Of The Best Sports VR Games On The Meta Quest 3

Meta’s official website has unveiled which sports VR games it thinks are best to play. Let’s take a look.

1. ‘Golf 5’

Call all your friends out there and play golf virtual reality-style! Developed in partnership with sports and video gaming stakeholders, “Golf 5” will take your swing to greater heights.

Beginners here will learn how to hone their skills in practice modes, while the more experienced gamers will improve their game by evaluating their swing data. This game features high-precision control technology to vividly capture real swings in an uber-realistic high-def environment and immersive ambiance.

2. ‘TOTALLY BASEBALL’

Baseball is a difficult game to play, even ask your grandpas and grandmas. With “TOTALLY BASEBALL,” you can get the chance to play each part and position in impressive VR. Whether it’s about pitching, fielding, or playing a simple game called catch, you’re in the right alley.

Experience the game in small fields or huge stadiums. Your preference. Prizes also await you. Earn coins by winning games and unlock the fun from every aspect of baseball.

3. ‘The Climb 2’

Have you ever climbed in your life, whether rock climbing, wall climbing, or mountain climbing? With “The Climb 2,” you can experience the joys of this sport right from the comfort of your home or office.

“The Climb 2” lets you discover various city settings and challenging maps with breathtaking views. As you work your way to the top, navigate grand peaks, vast caves, skyscrapers, and hidden shortcuts.

Invite your loved ones over and feel the rush of climbing, conquering the limits of this activity. You can even experience stunning vistas with them. No doubt about that.

4. ‘Carve Snowboarding’

Previously, PVP Live has tackled the best snowboarding games in history. If those didn’t inspire you to try them all, then you might want to consider starting your VR journey with “Carve Snowboarding.”

Begin hitting the slopes and meeting with realistic arcade snowboarding like you have never done before. Show your speed, master tricks, show your skills, and maybe even compete with your friends.

A Guide On How To Choose The Best Sports VR Games

There are several factors to consider when making your decision on which the best sports VR game is. Here are what to think about:

Immersion, Gameplay Realism

Two distinct features, but interconnected. First, evaluate how the VR game can simulate real-world sports. Find games – this is important – with excellent motion tracking and realistic physics, such as fight thrills for boxing and adventures for snowboarding.

Performance, Graphics

Those features are followed by the game’s performance and graphics. For instance, visually stunning VR games with higher refresh rates provide a smoother experience, reducing motion sickness. Steer away from those with unpolished visuals or low frame rates since they can break immersion and make the experience less fun.

Multiplayer Modes

Who would want to play video games alone, right? Unless you want to devote yourself to finishing a level or something. Sports are best enjoyed with others, isn’t it? But if you don’t have the time or freedom to play them in real life, try VR gaming. It’s all about having a fast-paced and team-based environment.

Replayability, Content Updates

Lastly, consider replayability and content updates. The best sports-themed VR games will keep you coming back for more. Considering these attributes, choose games with a loyal fanbase and developer support to ensure the ultimate sports entertainment.

Concluding Statement

Isn’t playing sports games fun and thrilling? You’ll never know what will happen next, so PVP Live invites you to try those games you learned about above. They are not just for sports geeks, but also for beginners who want to get their hands on this pastime.

You also learned the best tips on how you can choose the best games of this kind. Surely, the Meta Quest 3 will usher you into the magic of sports and beyond.

‘Sakamoto Days’

If you consider yourself an avid manga reader, you won’t miss out on “Sakamoto Days.” In 2025, an anime adaptation of this piece will take place. The new series promises to make its mark on the shonen world with an explosive burst and cocktail filled with non-stop action, humor, and depictions of unforgettable moments of daily life.

The story of “Sakamoto Days” focuses on Taro Sakamoto, once among the most fearsome assassins, now living the peaceful life of a pot-bellied grocer. Yes. The stark contrast between his tumultuous, violent past, and his new quiet life allows the story to cover themes such as redemption and the importance of appreciating the little things in life. With a tinge of action, no wonder this anime will be one of the best next year.

‘Fire Force’ Season 3

2025 won’t just be treating you with new animes, but also returning animes with their brand-new seasons, such as the third season of “Fire Force.” Since this third season was officially announced, it has stirred conversations on social media. Highly anticipated by fans, this sequel promises to raise the bar high.

Following the goosebumpy end of the second season, this upcoming “Fire Force” season will bring viewers directly into the Great Cataclysm arc, a turning point in the series. Speculations say the origins of the Infected and Shinra Kusakabe’s mystic past will be tackled. Plus, it is bound to be captivating, with religious conspiracies intertwining with supernatural phenomena. It is sci-fi.

‘Wind Breaker’ Season 2

The pilot season of “Wind Breaker” has touched the hearts of fans. This anime, adapted from a hit Korean webtoon, is coming back for a brand-new second season in 2025. For sure, the breathtaking bike races and intense teenage drama will continue in this new season.

In Season 2, Jo Ja-Hyun, the anime’s story, will face new challenges in his personal life and biking career. After discovering his passion for cycling in Season 1, viewers can expect to see him develop further, both in his athletic performances and relationships with people around him. Also, look forward to the evolution of the other characters who will be given more screen time in the second season of “Wind Breaker,” according to anime insiders.

‘Solo Leveling’ Season 2

Are you a fan of “Solo Leveling”? Well, guess what? A second season is coming to your screens this 2025. Obviously, it will be the continuation of Sung Jin-Woo’s adventures, but with more twists and turns that can take your breath away.

In this second season, insiders say “Solo Leveling” will take you into darker and riskier territories. Now an S-rank hunter, Sung Jin-Woo faces threats unlike what he encountered before. They will test his abilities and place him in the world of hunters. Season 2 is also expected to deepen the mystery surrounding the system that endowed him with powers.

How will his relationships with fellow hunters evolve? How will he navigate the universe that fears and admires his unique abilities? Find out soon.

‘Gachiakuta’

Now, remember that name. “Gachiakuta” is bound to be one of the most anticipated TV events in 2025. Also adapted from a dark manga, “Gachiakua” promises to shake things up in the shonen world with a plot filled with tensions.

The anime will bring you to the tragic fate of Rudo, a young man from the slums who was wrongly accused of murder and punished to be thrown into the Abyss, a massive dump where terrifying monsters live. In the Abyss, he must struggle to survive while proving his innocence. He must return to the floating city that despised and rejected him, then seek revenge on those who betrayed him by giving him false accusations. It will be the synergy of action with dark fantasy and even social critique. PVP Live is ecstatic about this.

‘Witch Hat Workshop’

Let’s take things a little bit lighter this time. “Witch Hat Workshop,” also known as “Witch Hat Atelier,” promises to captivate viewers with its magical universe and a story that will touch and inspire lives.

With an experienced team handling the production of this anime, fans can expect a faithful and visually remarkable adaptation of the wonderful world of “Witch Hat Workshop” in the manga.

Magical, the story follows Coco, a passionate young girl who aspires to become a witch in a world where magic is only accessible to the elite. Soon, she discovers that magic can eventually be mastered through runes and magic ink. Thus, she embarks on a new adventure filled with learning and challenges.

‘The Apothecary’s Diaries’ Season 2

Talk about magic, you have “The Apothecary’s Diaries” this time. If you have closely followed Season 2, expect that the sequel, Season 2, will delve even deeper into the mystiques of the imperial palace. More so, the story will continue to follow the intriguing quests of Mao Mao, the young, intelligent teenage apothecary.

Still equipped with her brilliance, and vast know-how of medicinal plants and poisons, Mao Mao must navigate the plots brewing at the imperial court. See her impress you with her critical thinking skills as she navigates through those plots, unravels mysteries, and conquers threats presented to her. Also, how will the relationship between her and eunuch Jinshi evolve? Find out in “The Apothecary’s Diaries” Season 2.

‘Omniscient Reader’

Last but certainly not least is “Omniscient Reader.” The story follows an average guy named Kim Dokja who suddenly finds himself in an apocalyptic world set in the place of his favorite web novel. Kim Dokja knows the novel’s plot so well that he catapulted himself to be the hero in the world he is now in. He will try to change the course of events, hoping he can help that world and return to his world with triumph.

Those are eight of the best animes to look forward to in 2025. PVP Live is wishing you a Happy New Year! Cheers to a new year filled with anime!

What Are The Strongest Bankais In ‘Bleach’?

0

Bankais in “Bleach” are the second and final upgraded forms of a Zanpakutō. Zanpakutōs are the main tools and weapons of the Arrancar and Shinigami. To attain Bankai, one should be able to materialize and subjugate their Zanpakutō spirit. In this article, you will learn the strongest Bankais in the anime. Let’s begin.

1. Jakuho Raikoben

The user of this Bankai, Soi Fon, is a trained and skilled assassin, which means she favors stealth and martial arts. Her stinger-like Shinkai used during battles is brute. But none is as powerful as her Bankai, the Jakuho Raikoben.

Mounted on her right arm, Jakuho Raikoben fires a powerful missile that explodes enough to injure even a high-ranked enemy. Avid “Bleach” viewers saw her using it against BG9 or Sternritter K after stealing it back in the Thousand-Year Blood War.

2. Tensa Zangetsu

Used by no other than Ichigo Kurosaki himself, his Tensa Zangetsu Banki isn’t to be taken lightly. Avid viewers can recall how he discovered this true Bankai of his, wherein he uses not one but two swords.

Tensa Zangetsu allows its wielder to unleash a massively powerful golden Getsuga Tensho, an ability capable of dealing immense damage. Though the full extent of this Bankai’s power is yet to be seen, its potential is evident by the fact that Yhwach finds it extremely hard to steal and break this Bankai.

3. Suzumushi Tsuishiki

Captain Kaname Tōsen intensely dislikes violence and bloodshed, giving him a pacifistic aura that gets in conflict with his previous role as a Soul Reaper Captain. But this is why he wields a Shikai that can easily knock down its target with a potent attack that targets the body instead of causing bloodshed.

The Bankai of Tōsen is much stronger than you think, to the point that it can trap both him and his enemy in a black balloon. There, enemies cannot see or hear anything, giving the Bankai’s wielder some serious advantage in battle while the blade is used. The only weakness of this Bankai is that if the opponent can touch the weapon, their senses get restored.

4. Zanka No Tachi

Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, the old, wise, and long-time captain of Gotei 13 for over a thousand years, the Dumbledore of “Bleach,” commands immense respect because of his unparalleled capability. Yamamoto is touted as the strongest among all the other captains thanks to his Bankai, the Zanka no Tachi.

With just a single strike, this Bankai can effortlessly cleave through almost anything or anybody. But this magnitude is also its weakness, as it limits its duration since it can engulf all of Soul Society, leaving nothing but ask and depleting the surroundings with air and water.

5. Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami No Tsuji

Bear with PVP Live on that name. In the story of “Bleach,” there’s the Royal Guard that fought well versus the four members of Yhwach’s four bodyguards, the Schutzstaffel, for a time. However, the tides of battle and odds turned against them. Thus, one of the members of the Royal Guard, Senjumaru Shutara, must make some tough decisions. That decision was for the three members of the Royal Guard to agree to give their lives for the goal.

Shutara now needed to compensate for the sacrifice. To do so, she must activate her Bankai, the Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami no Tsuji, modeled after looms and weaving cloth. Its power is overwhelming, such as weaving, not clothes, but new fates and destinies for the four members of Schutzstaffel. Did she succeed? Definitely.

6. Nozarashi

Next is Nozarashi. Kenpachi Zaraki owns this Bankai. Zaraki is well-known for his incredible strength, powerful enough to overpower even the most formidable enemies without relying on Bankais or supernatural abilities. But he wasn’t satisfied with this.

Therefore, he unveiled his Nozarashi Bankai, which can surpass the potencies of most Bankais in “Bleach.” This Bankai is uncomplicated and simple but straightforward, just like Zaraki himself. It grants him the power to slice through anything and anybody, letting him triumph over all enemies he fights with.

7. So’o Zabimaru

During the Soul Society arc, Renji Abarai, a lieutenant, surprised viewers when he revealed his Bankai, then known as Hihio Zabimaru. This Bankai formed a snake skeleton donning a thick fur collar, a segmented weapon that can unleash devastating melee attacks and fire energy from its mouth. Abarai uses this weapon against foes such as Ilfort Grantz, Byakuya Kuchiki, and Szayelaporro Grantz.

Eventually, in the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, Abarai trained with Squad 0, leading him to gain his true Bankai, the So’o Zabimaru. This Bankai is even stronger than his former Hihio Zabimaru, capable of unleashing fire-based power to take on enemies and burn them to cinder without the hope of resurrecting.

8. Mukojochu Muramasa

Last but not least is the Mukojochu Muramasa Bankai, wielded by shinigami Kōga Kuchiki. This Bankai was first introduced in the Zanpakutō Unknown Tales arc. This Zanpakutō alone was able to bring turmoil in the whole of Soul Society. This event was known as the Zanpakutō Rebellion. Now, Muramasa can speak with other Zanpakutō and unleash their darkest hatred, causing the other swords to leave their wielders or masters.

Upon the unveiling of the Bankai, another character, Kōga Kuchiki, was able to summon it in the real world, making it the sole Zanpakutō to do so. With this weapon, Kuchiki and Muramasa can tackle opponents separately and launch attacks at them by taking control of their Zanpakutō spirits.

“Bleach” is a phenomenal anime. This TV series tells the story and adventures of Kurosaki after he obtains the power of a Soul Reaper. The Soul Reaper is the death personification equivalent to the Grim Reaper. He gets this power from another Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki. This newfound power forces him to take on the duties and responsibility of defending and protecting humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife. You can now stream “Bleach” on Netflix and Crunchyroll.

Not yet officially launched, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” is a first-person shooter game set in 1991. It features a single-player story following rogue operatives Frank Woods and Troy Marshall as they form a team of agents to track down a clandestine force known as Pantheon. You can go ahead and look forward to this game this October. But gamers have these games on their wishlist:

  • “Neva”

Best September 2024 Games On Xbox Game Pass

‘Assassin’s Creed Origins’

Mostly set in ancient Egypt, particularly near the collapse of the Ptolemaic period from 49 to 38 BC, the story of “Assassin’s Creed Origins” follows Bayek of Siwa, a Medjay (nomadic people), and Aya, his wife, as they seek to get revenge for the killing of their son.

This game also explores the origins of the Assassin Brother, referred to here as the Hidden Ones, and their conflict with the Order of the Ancients, which has already been running for millennia. The Order of the Ancients is the forerunner to the Templar Order.

But here’s the twist. There is a framing story set in the 21st century and follows Layla Hassan, who re-lives Bayek and Aya’s memories using a modified device known as Animus.

‘Fallout: New Vegas’

Fallout: New Vegas” is an action RPG set in the iconic Mojave Desert 204 years after this place witnessed a destructive nuclear war. You control and play as a courier who wakes up after receiving a shot in the head from an unidentified assailant. While hunting down your assailant, you find yourself embroiled in an even bigger conflict between various governing factions that want to control and take over the region.

This game features an open-world map like the “GTA” game series. Much of the gameplay revolves around a wide range of weapons you can use for combat.

‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’

Not “The Master Chef,” but “The Master Chief.” This edition of the worldwide favorite game, “Halo,” is a compilation of first-person shooter video games in the “Halo” series. The game collection has “Halo 2: Anniversary,” “Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary,” “Halo 3,” “Halo 3: ODST,” “Halo 4,” and “Halo: Reach.” All those games have received graphical upgrades. See the game for yourself.

‘Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess’

Not an action RPG but an action strategy game, “Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess,” is played from a third-person POV. It features elements and attributes from real-time strategy and tower defense games.

In this game, you play as Soh, bestowed with the duty to protect a Yoshiro, a heavenly and divine maiden who must “purge and cleanse” villages of “defilement” and then bring peace to the legendary Mount Kafuku again. The gameplay is divided into two different parts.

‘Octopath Traveler II’

Developed and published by Square Enix, in cooperation with Acquire for the development, “Octopath Traveler II” is the sequel to “Octopath Traveler” from 2018 and the third entry in the series after the prequel game on mobile, “Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent” from 2020. However, “Traveler II” is unique because it features a new cast of characters and settings separate from previous games.

Just with the first “Octopath Traveler,” the game plays as a traditional JRPG or Japanese role-playing game. You get to move between eight separate characters, each with their respective purpose for navigating the in-game world.

‘Stardew Valley’

Ah, who would get tired of playing “Stardew Valley,” right? Available on Xbox Game Pass now, “Stardew Valley” is a fun farm life simulation RPG where you take the role of a character who inherits the dilapidated farm of their deceased grandfather. In your farm now, Stardew Valley, you must develop it. You can maintain your crops, fish, replant trees, save for strawberries, and so much more.

‘The Case Of The Golden Idol’

Launched in 2022, “The Case of the Golden Idol” is an adventure and a puzzle video game developed by Latvian independent developers. They aimed to create a detective video game inspired and influenced by 1990s adventure games’ visual presentation.

“The Case of the Golden Idol” features a narrative spanning four decades during the 1700s wherein players must collect clues to piece together characters, evidence, and concepts to provide context to the story.

Other games you can play on Xbox Game Pass in September 2024, among others, are:

  • “Chants Of Sennaar”
  • “Cities: Skylines”
  • “Citizen Sleeper”
  • “Doom”
  • “Hi-Fi Rush”
  • “Slay The Spire”
  • “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge”

The Xbox Game Pass is Xbox’s subscription service, which was launched in 2017. It allows you to download and play games on your Xbox or Microsoft Windows PCs from a rotating library. The video games remain accessible as long as you have an active subscription. Subscribers also receive exclusive discounts on games and their respective downloadable content.

Xbox Game Pass updates its roster of games every month. Although just one game is officially included for October 2024, there should be others coming your way, hopefully.

‘Hogwarts Legacy’ Time! Get To Know Where To Find Every Balloon

0

It’s time for another “Hogwarts Legacy” guide, and in this edition, you’ll learn more about the Balloons in this one-of-a-kind action RPG.

The experience with Balloons in “Hogwarts Legacy” is effortless. Balloons also pertain to the challenge of finding Balloons scattered around the game. Your goal is to spot and destroy five balloons while flying on your broomstick. It may be harsh as these Balloons are beautiful, but they must be destroyed. Completing this challenge rewards you with a new Broom Appearance in the gameplay.

Want a cheat on where to find every Balloon? Read on.

1 Balloon In Upper Hogsfield, Hogsmeade Valley

From the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flames, Balloons are hoisted in the air. Just look up, then fly up to see a trail of Balloons leading to the southwest.

2 Balloons In North Ford Bog

The first is from the East North Ford Bog Floo Flames. Again, look up, and to the left, you can see the Balloon hovering in the air.

The second is from the North Ford Bog Floo Flames. Head southwest to the large tower and Pitt-Upon-Ford. The Balloons are floating happily in between.

1 Balloon In North Hogwarts Region

This time, fly west from the East North Hogwarts Region Floo Flames. The Balloons are floating above the hillside.

5 Balloons In South Hogwarts Region

From the Aranshire Floo Flames, follow the railway line north, which passes over a bridge. The Balloons are flying on the easter side.

The second and third Balloons are in Hogsmeade Station and the Quidditch pitch, respectively.

Head south from the Aranshire Floo Flames for the fourth Balloon, then follow the railway line. As you get to the bridge, you will see some Balloons off the western side.

The last Balloon in the South Hogwarts Region can be seen when you look south from the Hogwarts South Exit Floo Flames.

7 Balloons In Hogwarts Valley

The Hogwarts Valley has a whopping seven Balloons floating in midair. They are at Brocburrow, East of Keenbridge, and south of Keenbridge.

The fourth Balloon can be spotted when you fly southwest from Lower Hogsfield, then into the mountainside over the west. Next, head to the South of Lower Hogsfield.

Just to the south of The Mine’s Eye Floo Flames is another Balloon. The last Balloon in Hogwarts Valley is at Brocburrow’s southwest.

6 Balloons In Feldcroft Region

First, from Irondale, proceed down south to the river to find the Balloons running along it. Another is in the southwest of the North Feldcroft Floo Flames.

You’ll also find Balloons over a large body of water as you follow the Feldcroft Region south. There are more Balloons as you head northwest.

Then, from the Feldcroft hamlet, head south to find more Balloons hovering over the countryside. The last Balloon in the Feldcroft Region is at the South of Feldcroft Catacomb.

1 Balloon In Coastal Cavern

For the Balloon here, first, pass through the tunnel near the East South Sea Bog Floo Flames to find yourself at the North Poidsear Coast Floo Flames. Go straight ahead to see the Balloons.

3 Balloons In Poidsear Coast

From the Poidsear Castle Floo Flames, proceed south, then follow along the river. The Balloon is near where the river meets the sea. For the second Balloon on Poidsear Coast, head outside and fly to the southwest. The last Balloon is at the Southwest of Phoenix Mountain Cave.

1 Balloon In Marunweem Lake

Locate a Balloon hovering in the air to the south from the Coastal Mine Floo Flames.

2 Balloons In Manor Cape

The first Balloon in Manor Cape is at the South of West Manor Cape, while the other is at West Manor Cape.

2 Balloons In Cragcroftshire

Two more Balloons are located in Cragcroftshire. For the first, fly your broom south to the water from the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flames. Then, follow the river along to the east to spot the Balloons.

For the second Balloon in Cragcroftshire, simply fly up from the Cragcroft Floo Flames. The Balloons are above the village.

1 Balloon In Clagmar Coast

Fly out, and to the west, you will see the Balloon floating by the cliff area.

Those are the locations of all the Balloons in “Hogwarts Legacy.” With this guide, finding them and earning the rewards will be very easy.

But hold on. Before you can head to these places, you need a Broom. Brooms are not available to you right away. You must first unlock your Broom.

To unlock your Broom in “Hogwarts Legacy,” complete the Main Quest first. This quest is accessible from where you attended Flying Class for the first time. The instructor teaches every essential mechanics and trick to fly a Broomstick successfully.

First, as a way of practicing, the Flying Class professor, Madam Chiyo Kogawa, will instruct you to go through three rings. Just like playing Quidditch. Then, you must fly through several rings located away from the Flying Class Lawn. Once you know full well how to fly on Broomsticks, Everett Clopton will show up to challenge you to take a minor scenery detour around Hogwarts.

Otherwise, you might want to purchase your Broom instead. To do so, visit the Sprintwitches Sporting Needs store in Hogsmeade. You may also find Brooms at Traveling Vendors and the Balloons Challenges.

Play your “Hogwarts Legacy” game now on Nintendo Switch, Playstations 5 and 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. That’s it for now. ‘Til next time!

Why You Need Companions In ‘Fallout 4’ + Who Are Your Best Bets Today?

0

Video game Companions change how they are played, such as in “Fallout 4.” This action role-playing game by Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks happens in an open-world post-apocalyptic setting that takes its cue from Boston, Massachusetts, particularly in “The Commonwealth.”

With this setting in mind, you will most likely find the need to employ Companions by your side. This PVP Live guide will delve into these characters in the game, discussing why they are beneficial and listing down the best of these people in “Fallout 4.”

Why Companions Are Beneficial In ‘Fallout 4’

Some players want to embark on adventures alone, while others prefer to accomplish stuff with company. These are when Companions fulfill their role. You’ll never know what Companions can do for your progress in “Fallout 4.” Let’s find out.

1. Companions Help Improve Your Carrying Capacity

Among the best advantages of employing Companions is the added carrying capacity. You can’t do it alone in “Fallout 4,” so it’s best to have someone by your side to do the heavy lifting. It is helpful when looting or exploring vast areas.

With the help of Companions, players can trade items more easily since these Companions work as mobile storage units to hold excess armor, weapons, junk, and so much more. Thus, the need to constantly get back to settlements or stash locations is reduced, making exploring things around more efficient.

2. They Can Assist In Battles

Another fantastic advantage of Companions is that they assist well in combat, making them valuable allies in the most brutal battles. They can wield various weapons, such as guns, melee, and even heavy artillery.

Here’s how it works. Each Companion wields a default weapon, but players with these characters can equip them with better weapons to enhance their effectiveness in combat. They could also carry infinite ammo for their default weapons, providing your gameplay with consistent firepower. Companions may also be employed in challenging situations to distract enemies or draw fire, giving you the best edge.

3. Best Above All, Moral Support

Can you even believe that Companions are also your moral buddies? With many harsh battles in “Fallout 4,” you will need characters who can influence the game’s dialogue, conversations, and maneuverability.

You’ll have Companions like Nick Valentine, who can offer insights during quests and whose dialogues you can customize based on your choices. This adds depth to your role-playing experience by allowing players to visualize several perspectives.

Best Companions To Work With In ‘Fallout 4’

Now, let’s continue discussing who it is best to work with in “Fallout 4,” talking about Companions.

1. Curie

With her by your side, you will recall having Anne Hathaway in her short-hair era. Curie is the best Companion, according to gaming info websites like Game Rant.

While the disadvantage of Curie is not having too much use in combat, once you have turned her consciousness into a synthetic body (weird as it may sound), she’s on her way to becoming your most robust Companion. Her health pool and damage output are something to look forward to.

2. Nick Valentine

Sounds like a “Resident Evil” character, right? But Nick isn’t. This Companion is debated whether on rank one or two, but Nick is a Bethesda dream for “Fallout 4,” or maybe for the entire series. He looks like R2-D2 from “Star Wars” wearing a detective outfit.

However, if there’s a caveat, that would be the lack of the romance option. Unfortunately, this advantage discussed earlier is just a generalization. His appearance and style make him stand out from the rest.

3. Paladin Danse

If you’re trying different Companions based on the strongest to the weakest, the next Companion to be with is Paladin Danse. Wearing what appears to be some astronaut attire, this Companion is on top of the list if the list is from the perspective of who’s best in combat. He’s the best of both worlds. He can be kind and violent as well.

4. John Hancock

Talking about cool, John Hancock is at the top of mind. He might be excellent for “Pirates of the Caribbean” fans as he looks like the fearsome Davy Jones. In “Fallout 4,” those looks are best for a mayor of Goodneighbor with close ties with the mayor of Diamond City. But John Hancock is still your cool ghoul like Davy Jones. Be sure to take a peek at his backstory, as it is a rewarding experience in this role-playing game.

5. Strong

Are yoU kidding us? The way these Companions look, taking inspiration from comics and movies, is incredible. What will you do if you have a Hulk-looking Companion by your side? If you don’t want a hero, maybe a Troll from “Harry Potter.”

Strong embodies the name. His appearance shouldn’t fool anybody, and his capacity is what you can count on in the game. He also offers the best of both worlds, as he is both generous and violent, depending on where you need him.

6. Cait

Cait, pictured on this piece’s cover image, will remind you of Lara Croft herself from “Tomb Raider.” She’s ready for combat as she is first met in the Combat Zone. She’s tough, she’s interesting, and she’s heroic. This phenomenal character’s charm makes her a go-to companion for every avid “Fallout 4” player, boy or girl.

7. Dogmeat

As a bonus Companion pick for “Fallout 4,” you have Dogmeat, not a human being, but what else? A dog. Its looks, familiar to you in the real world, are enough to make him even a better Companion than other human characters in this game.

Conclusion

There’s this adage that says, “Two heads are better than one.” This quote applies to “Fallout 4” as well. Companions are basically there to be with you during adventures, quests and walks around. The best thing about “Fallout 4” is that you can change Companions depending on what works ideally for you. Furthermore, some may even be turned into a romance or fling, forming relationships with them.

‘Elden Ring’ Guides: Where You Can Find The Lichdragon Fortissax Secret Boss

0

The “Elden Ring” world is filled with bosses, but there is a category of bosses that you don’t want to mess with: the secret bosses. Well, you can mess with them, but you need to be careful. This guide teaches you where to find the Lichdragon Fortissax Secret Boss.

The Lichdragon Fortissax Secret Boss is a Legend-type but optional boss in the game. This secret boss can be summoned if and only if you pursue Fia, a non-player character in the Deathbed Companion’s Questline.

The Step-By-Step Guide

It isn’t difficult to find this secret boss. However, before locating it, you must pursue Fia first in the quest line. Here are the pointers to remember:

  • First and foremost, look for the odd face in Stormveil Castle’s underground and check the blood spot.
  • Then, bring Sorcerer Rogier to Roundtable Hold by conversing with him in the church. Speak with him about the body. Afterward, speak with Fia and discuss secrets with her. Doing so gives you the Blackknife Clue.
  • Then, journey to the Black Knife Catacomb, located directly north of the Carian Study Hall at the Liurnia of the Lakes. Make use of the guillotine traps to get to the upper hallway. There, it would be best if you found the illusory wall. Note that you must battle with the Black Knife Assassin boss inside. This is needed to progress.
  • After defeating the Black Knife Assassin boss, hand the key item to Sorcerer Rogier. Afterward, talk to Fia again and get the knife she hands you. Hand this knife to D. Leave and get back. Fia will then leave the Roundtable Hold. Wait for her to leave before you can continue the quest.

Another part of finding the Lichdragon Fortissax boss is to reach the Deeproot Depths. Start by entering the easy-to-miss cave in Eternal City, particularly in Nokron. Find this cave in the Ancestral Woods area. This path takes you to the Valiant Gargoyles boss. Fight and beat this boss, then use the coffin on the ledge.

Take note: Accessing Nokron requires you first to defeat Starscourge Radahn in Caelid’s Redmane Castle. After you do so, a gigantic crater south of Mistwood will be created, leading to Nokron.

Now, after utilizing the coffin, you will immediately find yourself in Deeproot Depths underneath Leyndell. Travel through until you reach the Prince of Death’s Throne area.

Now, you can remember Fia left the Roundtable Hold, but this time, she will reappear in this Throne area. Before you can speak with her again, you must defeat her Champions. You’re looking for the Cursemark of Death key item.

  • To obtain the Cursemark of Death, speak with Sorcerer Rogier again, but after he is finished studying the Blackknife Print. Until then, you will be sent to meet Ranni the Witch, another non-player character, located at Caria Manor’s end. Then, start Ranni’s quest, then unlock Nokron, and collect the Cursemark of Death beneath the giant corpse throne in Nokron.
  • The key item must be returned to Ranni before you use the Inverted Statue to get to the top of the Carian Study Hall.

This is followed by giving Fia the Cursemark of Death at where else? The Prince of Death’s Throne. Fia will agree to consort with Godwyn the Golden and give birth to a child. Sure, this part seems pointless, but you’ll have to witness it before progressing.

After Fia gets the Cursemark, you will need to talk to her thrice. Leave and return after you give the item back to her. On the third revisit, you may select to “enter the Deathbed Dream,” where Fia is asleep.

Conclusion

That was a lot of steps, and now, you are at the end. Located inside the Deathbed Dream is the Lichdragon Fortissax secret boss. Be sure to gain the Lichdragon’s Remembrance. Then, check on Fia again to find the Mending Rune of the Death Prince, which you can use to restore the shattered Elden Ring that the Elden Lord has brandished.

Bonus: You may also check the Finder Ringer and use this to build new weapons with the Remembrance.

The Dark Side Of Eren Yeager: Revealing His Baddest Acts

0

You know Eren Yeager as the virtuous main character of “Attack on Titan,” especially for the sake of his family. But did you know he has his evil side? It’s vicious you’d want to cover your eyes. Let’s go explore in this PVP Live story.

What Is Yeager’s Personality Like?

Yeager would do everything for his family. He is best described as a stubborn and impulsive son, yet strong-willed and passionate – attributes of his determination to safeguard humankind and, of course, his loved ones. Even as a young boy, he was so eager to join the Survey Corps Military branch that he argued with his mother, but of course, he was doing it for his family.

He cares deeply not just for his friends but for his family, too. He can risk harm and even death to protect them. A hero, indeed.

Why Does He Have His Bad Side?

Like the yin and yang, Yeager has a bad side, like everybody. Because of his goals, he becomes a calculated manipulator who literally won’t stop until they reach them. His friends would sway him to change this side of him, but he would keep fighting for what he believes is right.

He is the anime world’s Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. He has accomplished good things and terrible stuff as well, but he can justify his actions as necessary to protect humanity.

The Baddest Moves Of Eren Yeager

If “Attack on Titan” were to have a Prison of Azkaban, Yeager would be jailed here. Here are the most evil acts he has committed:

Yeager Initiated The Rumbling

Since childhood, Yeager has wanted to free himself from the shackles of being stuck on Paradis Island, so he joined the Survey Corps. Little did he know that this led him to a dark path. With the whole world targeting his home, he realizes that he has to exert more effort.

After gaining the power to wake up the Colossal Titans, Yeager was able to release them into the world and then direct them to Marley, taking this opportunity against Paradis. However, he also wants to destroy Marley. This molded him into an emotionally detached hero with no patience. In other words, the Rumbling happened because of him.

He Manipulated His Father

Interestingly, even if Yeager is a family-oriented guy, his evil side can make him turn against his family. Well, not in the baddest way, but to manipulate them, like what he did to his dad.

He influenced his father, Grisha, to steal the power of the Founding Titan. The “Attack on Titan” hero traveled back in time using the ability of none other than the Attack Titan to subtly manipulate Grisha, pushing him to act toward the destruction of the royal family and transfer the Founding Titan’s power to himself.

Hesitant and morally undecided at first, Grisha acted under his son’s emotional pressure. This kin-to-kin manipulation changed the course of history and stripped Grisha of his agency, showing Eren’s evil goals are separate from his goals for his family.

He Showed His Hatred For Mikasa Ackerman

Just a tinge of hatred is already evil in itself. While Yeager is trying to find his brother, Zeke, he learns the whereabouts of his former buddies and decides to do some interrogation to get some information. Initially, he cares for Ackerman, but later on, he displays a different feeling toward her.

He tells her that the sole reason she has been fighting by his side is because of her blood, which means that any feeling she has for him is a product of her bloodline. He even is proud of his hatred toward Ackerman, which is somewhat cruel.

His Siding With Zeke Also Made Him Evil

Zeke was regarded as the source of the misery in Paradis. Therefore, it is uncharacteristic for his brother Eren to side with him on this one. However, it was later revealed that Eren was just using his brother to get what he wanted, the way he sided with Zeke was like what you see in TV drama when the villain would hug another person, but would make an evil grin behind. This alliance had affected his friends.

Here’s the context. Eren distanced himself from his closest acquaintances to gain his brother’s trust and even built a fence, declaring them enemies. He also started a group of rebel soldiers, the Yeagerists, tasking them to commit terrible things. He believed this act was imperative to protect his homeland. But still evil.

He Attacked Armin Arlert

In an effort to prevent his buddies from making ties with him, Yeager arrives at the decision that the best action to take is to cut connections with them. He then makes the move, and meets up with Ackerman and Arlert, scolding them for the actions they did for him. Worse, he calls Ackerman an enslaved individual.

This enrages Arlert, so he punishes Yeager, now his ex-close friend, but Yeager responds with even more vicious attacks. Mercilessly, he abuses Arlert while taunting him for his weakness. He isn’t satisfied to just keep a distance from his friends, but he wants to deal with them harshly.

He Asked Historia Reiss To Devour Him

Another evil act of Yeager was when he requested Reiss to eat him to inherit the Founding Titan. Yeager proposed this initially for goodness, to protect her, as the royal family’s bloodline could control the power of the Titan.

However, this plan would just condemn Reiss to live a short life due to the Titan’s curse while using her bloodline to further Yeager’s personal motives. Evil, right? His willingness to sacrifice her future for his hidden agenda reflected the cold calculation behind his action, revealing that his dark side and its actions could go at the expense of even his close friends and family.

Wrapping Up

So why did Yeager embrace his evil side? It could be traced to his past experiences. Yeager was a former member of the Survey Corps, as of the story this time. He resided in Shiganshina District with his mom and dad until the fall of Wall Maria, when he impotently became witness to how a Titan ate his mom. This evil act led him to foster an intense hatred toward the Titans, sweating to wipe them all from the face of the Earth.

Ultimate Thrills: Top 10 Snowboarding Games In History

0

The winter holidays are right around the corner once more. Statistics reveal that in 2023, the number of Americans who went snowboarding in the United States was the highest recorded since 2010, hitting almost nine million that year!

Snowboarding is not just a sport but a leisurely activity, too. It provides several health benefits, such as burning calories, building confidence, improving flexibility, promoting mental health, improving sleep, managing stress, and so much more.

But, not every time will you have the opportunity to go snowboarding this holiday season, may it be because of financial limitations or limitations on time. You can experience snowboarding with video games, though! Here are the best 10 snowboarding games for the ultimate thrill.

1. ‘SSX’ – EA Sports

Viewing the official “SSX” website, there’s not much to see. It might be because the game was created years ago. But it never fades. Playing this, you will love the revolutionary soundtrack and various levels to adore, making it the most top-related snowboarding game ever.

With this game, you will grind like you do when snowboarding in the real world. It is compatible with various Xbox consoles and ages gracefully like fine wine.

2. ‘1080° Snowboarding’ – Nintendo

Not 90 degrees. Not 360 degrees, but 1080 degrees, that’s right. An even older game than “SSX,” “1080° Snowboarding” from Nintendo’s 1990s era will have you controlling one of the five available characters in one of six various modes. The characters are also interesting since their names are a mix of both Western- and Japanese-sounding names, such as Kensuke Kimachi and Ricky Winterborn.

The game also has a training mode where you can practice snowboarding tricks and a contest mode for the real competition. You’ll also enjoy the time attack, as well as the single and multiplayer race modes.

3. ‘Riders Republic’ – Ubisoft

Yes, “Riders Republic” sounds like a motorcycle-themed game, and it is, but snowboarding is also here. From the developers of some of your favorite “Batman” games, “Riders Republic” will have you join four main extreme sports events, namely snowboarding, mountain biking, skiing, and wingsuit flying. Everything happens in an open setting that combines several locations in the western United States. How do you wish it was also set in India or Japan, right?

4. ‘Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip’ – Ubisoft Montreal

Now, this is snowboarding and nothing else. Also from Ubisoft during its 2000s timeline, “Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip” is available on various platforms, from PlayStation to Microsoft Windows.

Don’t be disappointed if it’s arcade-style. Hey, this is about gaming history, right? It takes inspiration from the arcade elements of “SSX” while using the motion control of Nintendo Wii to its advantage. Enjoy a dynamic, immersive feel with intuitive controls, distinct events, and reliable mechanics that are hard to resist.

5. ‘Cool Boarders’ – Sony

This is quite an exotic game. Do you know why? It is the first three-dimensional game for snowboarding enthusiasts, created for the first PlayStation console. So that’s history twice. This game series is also a long-running franchise.

Here, you race down the chilly slopes while racking up as many points as possible. Though shallow compared to its sequels since it only has two racers competing in four reskinned looks, five tracks – two of which first needed to be unlocked – and fewer game modes compared to other games of this kind, it’s nothing short of spectacular.

6. ‘Steep’ – Ubisoft

Ooh, that’s fearful. Ubisoft is dominating this list with three games under its wing so far. “Steep” is where you can ride a massive open world across the icy winter Alps, where the powder is always fresh like sand, and the trail never ends. Even more enticing is how you can defy the odds and master the mountain alone or with your friends. Bring in some chips and soda while you game!

7. ‘Amped 2’ – Xbox Game Studios And Access Software

“Amped 2” is way better than “Amped,” which is a sequel. This game is also quite old, but enough to enjoy your hours of the game without heading to popular titles like “Hogwarts Legacy” or “Elden Ring.”

It stands out from the rest in that it works like progressing through the work ladder, where you must work your way to achieve great things. It’s like training and keeping on snowboarding to become a seasoned professional athlete. You can count on this snowboarding-themed game.

8. ‘1080° Snowboarding Avalanche’ – Nintendo Software Technology

It’s the second “1080°” game on the list, but it must be included because, well, it’s “Avalanche.” You won’t be encountering avalanches per se, but the racing experience in this game feels like it’s avalanches. The tricks in this game compare to those in ‘SSX,” but you can use bumpers, instead of button combinations, to perform the trick. You can also play with your friends. “1080° Snowboarding Avalanche” is also available offline.

9. ‘Stoked: Big Air Edition’ – Bongfish GmbH

What is it again? It’s “Bongfish GmbH.” Not American but an Austrian video game developer. But guess what, one of its games, “Stoked: Big Air Edition,” has made it to this top 10 list! Here, gamers encounter multiple mountains and real-life sponsors. It also gives a realistic weather experience. Here’s how it works. For instance, you’ll see powder building up on the mountains when it snows. When snow is away, you’ll see rocks. Just like in real life! Really, unlike games that focus solely on the adventure mode.

10. ‘Dark Summit’ – Radical Entertainment

Now, down to the last in this top 10. Which game rounded out the list? It’s “Dark Summit.” Hailing from 2001, “Dark Summit” resembles other snowboarding and skateboarding games of the era. Here, you can perform grabs, grinds or jibs, flips, and accomplish special tricks over the mountain, the alien half-pipe, and the chairlift half-pipe. Try this game for yourself.

Snowboarding isn’t a very popular theme in video games, relatively speaking. These games are overshadowed by car racing and basketball games, which is evident on this list, which has games mostly from years or decades ago. Nevertheless, they should be in your library.

Things Gamers Hate The Most About ‘Diablo IV’

0

For some players, “Diablo IV” isn’t a game that they consider to have a love-it-or-hate-it relationship, as for them, they despise it and its various features. Sad, but true.

Searching Google for “Diablo IV” reviews, you’re more likely to find negative reviews than positive ones, unlike other popular games. What’s more, the game is getting bombarded with hate to this day.

What are the things gamers hate the most about “Diablo IV”? Let’s discuss.

1. ‘Diablo IV’ Is Lacking Of ‘The Very Basic Amenities For A Modern Game’

Visiting the official “Diablo IV” website, things are enticing, but these don’t do justice to what gamers actually experience.

According to a Reddit netizen, this game is getting so much hate “because it lacks very basic amenities for a modern game. There is nothing to do, the build diversity kind of lacking, and itemization is nonsensical.”

Most modern games today are trying their best to keep gamers engaged, but “Diablo IV” seems uninterested in doing the same. The diversity of builds is essential in a game as this enhances your creativity, strategy, and replayability, fostering unique experiences and a balance of gameplay.

Itemization is also crucial as this, meanwhile, drives your progression, the way you can use strategies and the way you can customize, influencing gameplay dynamics and long-term engagement.

2. The Developer, Blizzard Entertainment, Is Marred By Controversy

Brilliant players who also base their choices upon who developed the games they play realize that the game’s thrill can be influenced by the reputation of the team that developed it. In the case of “Diablo IV,” its developer, Blizzard Entertainment, is being bombarded with issues and controversies, too. The Blizzard before isn’t the same as what it is today. Before “Diablo IV,” there were games like “Warcraft III,” which catapulted Blizzard to fame. But things are not going well for them.

3. Microtransactions Are Terrible

“The one thing I will keep hating on [‘Diablo IV’] for indefinitely is its terrible microtransactions,” wrote Forbes’ Paul Tassi.

As the term implies, microtransactions in video games allow you to buy in-game content or perks, often influencing cosmetics and the gameplay as a whole. In the words of former United States president Donald Trump, “Diablo IV’s” microtransactions are “terrible.”

But beyond that, players also needed to think about its synergy with reality.

4. Discouraged Community

Today, gamers are closer to each other than ever before as there’s the power of social media sites where they can share their gameplay experiences. Gamers update each other on tips and guides through Facebook and forums. They also watch streams produced by gaming influencers and content creators.

But things are different for “Diablo IV” as it has a community of disheartened players. This sentiment is enough for you to share the same feelings as others. So, you end up moving to another game.

The fourth main installment in the “Diablo” series, “Diablo IV” is an online-only action role-playing dungeon crawling game playable on some PlayStation consoles and Xbox consoles, as well as Windows platforms.
