The developers may not have been in their best creative selves when they designed how the Elden Beast would appear, as it simply looks like a gigantic slime. Nevertheless, it looks pretty unique.

Where To Find The Elden Beast

Before you can battle with the Elden Beast, you might first locate it. This boss fight launches immediately after you have managed to defeat the Radagon of the Golden Order. Meaning to say, the fight with the Elden Beast also happens in that same area in Leyndell in the Ashen Capital.

Also, the Beast repeats the same attacks throughout the fight and rarely varies them. Is this an advantage? Probably. 

The key to getting used to those repeated attacks is to survive. Learning its moves will teach you the right time to be aggressive. 

Its Sword And Holy Magic

To start, the Beast frequently swings an enormous sword either once or as a total combo. Be sure to time and pace your rolls to the other side well from where the sword is coming to avoid getting hit. After the last swing, your enemy will stand still for a very short while. Take this opportunity to hit it once or twice.

Sometimes, holy magic will be bestowed upon the Elden Beast, giving it the strength to hurl magical slashes against you. You can duck them, but finding the right timing here will be a bit trickier. It requires trial and error to get used to its speed. 

Also, at times, the Beast may stick its sword on the ground, unleashing an explosion of holy magic. This attack could hit you twice: first, if you’re in front of it and receive a hit from its sword; second, by the explosion. It’s not cowardice to run from the area as this is the best way to avoid this deadly attack. Otherwise, you may also get behind the boss.

To avoid getting hit, sprint to the opposite side from where the Spears are being hurled at, circling the battle arena. The Elden Beast is about big movements, so you should, too. 

Casting Nebulae

Also, the boss will cast nebulae. In one nebula, it spreads a trail of purple clouds horizontally, like spreading cheese filling over a slice of bread, then explodes. These clouds can form a massive black hole, at times, before exploding. Still, the best strategy here is to run away. 

Golden Star

Another spell the Elden Beast unleashes is the Golden Star, which follows you like a paparazzi. This isn’t an angelic Star as alongside its path, some projectiles can hit you. If the Beast is about to release the Star, your signal is when a glowing golden light shows up in its left hand. Dealing with this evil Star isn’t difficult, but what makes it difficult is multitasking and minding the other things the Beast may be doing while its Star follows you. To escape this Star, be at a distance and roll in the direction it is coming. Eventually, this spell will stop.

What Happens After You Successfully Defeat The Elden Beast?

Aside from the fulfillment of being able to finish “Elden Ring,” defeating the Elden Beast will also give you majestic 500000 Runes and the Elden Remembrance you can use to craft the Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword.
