‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare’ players claim MP5 gun secretly nerfed by devs

The MP5 is one of Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s most powerful and popular guns. However, in the recent update, fans are claiming that the gun received a secret nerf. Players noticed that the gun now has different ADS, lowered damage, and increased recoil.

Despite the recent reveal of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and the upcoming CDL Championship Weekend later this week, Modern Warfare fans have been busy talking about the sudden and unexpected change to the MP5.

The MP5 SMG is regarded as one of the best weapons in Modern Warfare. The gun boasts of its high damage, sufficient range, and low recoil. These factors are what made the MP5 a consistent choice among players.

Because of this, Modern Warfare players are reacting to these unforeseen adjustments that have been slipped away in Modern Warfare and Warzone’s Season 5: Reloaded patch.

The peculiar thing about the secret nerf is that players are describing different changes from one another. Some are reporting that the MP5’s sight is now different such as the gun being too zoomed in. The MP5’s sight is one of the best reasons why this gun can be deadly even without an optical thus, a sudden unannounced nerf becomes a huge problem.

However, others said that the sight hasn’t changed at all. Tweets and Reddit posts state that both ideas could be true which only adds to the mystery. Other players have reported that the gun’s recoil has been changed. For players who are consistently looking for a zero loadout option, it can be frustrating to know that your favorite gun’s recoil has been nerfed.

Even professional Call of Duty players has been reporting that the MP5’s recoil is bouncing all over their screens which were certainly not the case for the gun in the past updates. The MP5 always had one of the most consistent recoils in Modern Warfare, but now everything has changed.
