Monster Hunter Rise Digital Event Announced by Capcom

Only a couple of days have passed since Capcom’s development team working behind Monster Hunter Rise posted their New Year greetings to the fans. In that greeting, they also confirmed that fans will learn more information about the upcoming title in January 2021. That being said, Capcom didn’t disappoint, as it has just announced a digital event for Monster Hunter Rise.

Fans have been assuming for the past few days that something big would be heading their way very soon, especially since the official Monster Hunter social media accounts have been discreetly changing profile pictures and banners to showcase the upcoming game’s key visuals. As such, the Monster Hunter community has been twittering and buzzing even before the developer revealed the new event.

The fans’ assumptions were right, though, because Capcom made the big announcement shortly after. Excited fans will be able to watch the digital event on either Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter this coming January 7, 2021 at 6:00AM PST or 14:00 GMT. If you don’t want to miss out on anything related to Monster Hunter Rise, then this event is for you and for fans like you.

While there’s not a lot of information about the event itself in the social media posts, the team does mention that fans can expect “big news and reveals” about the highly anticipated action-adventure title during the livestream.

As expected of Monster Hunter Rise’s avid fans, though, some were able to gather even more information from other sources, in this case, the digital event’s Japanese announcement. Well-known influencers within the community, such as Kogath and Gaijinhunter, were kind enough to translate the announcement for those fans who don’t speak Japanese.

The post states that not only will the digital event unveil a brand-new Monster Hunter Rise trailer, but the release date for the highly awaited demo will also be announced. On the other hand, the post doesn’t reveal if the event will also discuss new or returning monsters, which is unfortunate.

Gaijinhunter theorized that fans may be able to start downloading the game’s demo on their Nintendo Switch consoles a day after the livestream event. He goes on to say that the local marketing team for Monster Hunter Rise already has a list of Japanese YouTube content creators to whom they gave early access to the demo.

Gaijinhunter also mentioned something noteworthy. He revealed when the Japanese YouTubers will start sharing their gameplay of the demo, which will be on January 8 at 8AM JST. The fact that these content creators will be sharing their gameplay on that particular date leads us to believe that the demo will most likely be already available on or before then.

Without a doubt, Monster Hunter Rise is one of the most anticipated games of this year, and fans from all over the world are brimming with excitement to finally get their hands on this new experience that Capcom has brought to the table.

Based on the trailers, screenshots, and other teasers revealed so far, Monster Hunter Rise is turning into yet another exciting addition to the series.
