New Pokemon Being Added To Pokemon Go Later This Month

Since its launch in 2016, Pokemon GO has gone a long way. The famous augmented reality mobile game began with 151 Pokemon but has now grown to include Pokemon from practically every generation. Niantic continues to release new Pokemon to Pokemon GO on a regular basis, and Dedenne, an Electric/Fairy-type Pokemon, is the latest addition.

Niantic just revealed the details of their Festival of Lights event, which will take place in November. The arrival of Dedenne, which will make its debut in Pokemon GO on November 5, when the event begins, is one of the centerpieces of this event. Dedenne will be available in Pokemon GO indefinitely, however it appears that catching one will be significantly simpler during the Festival of Lights event.

Dedenne will become more common in the wild once the Pokemon GO Festival of Lights event begins. The Pokemon will also be available as a Field Research reward, though getting one through that method is said to be difficult for Pokemon GO Trainers. Pokemon GO users will be able to combat Dedenne in 1-star Raids in addition to catching him in the wild or as a Field Research reward.

Dedenne is expected to be one of the most frequent Pokemon in the wild from November 2021 to November 2022, so catching it shouldn’t be too tough for Pokemon GO players all over the world. On the other hand, those in India will have even more chances to see Dedenne, as a unique India-only event called “A Celebration in India” will take place from 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, November 7 to 7:00 p.m. local time. Pokemon GO users in India will be able to get double Candy for catching Pokemon during the event, as well as more frequent encounters with Dedenne and Blitzle.

Dedenne’s introduction in Pokemon GO is being commemorated in other ways as well. Dedenne-inspired products will be available for purchase in the Pokemon GO item shop, and Dedenne-themed stickers will be available to add to users’ sticker collections. The Dedenne-themed stickers can be obtained by spinning Pokemon GO PokeStop discs, opening Gifts from friends, or purchasing them with cash, as is customary.

Dedenne’s addition to Pokemon GO adds yet more Kalos region Pokemon to the game, bringing gamers one step closer to completing their Pokedexes. There are still a lot of Pokemon that haven’t made their appearance in Pokemon GO, so it’ll be interesting to see when they do.
