After indicating a possible Fortnite x Predator crossover, developer Epic Games has unveiled an official teaser directly confirming fan theories. The iconic alien hunter and killing machine will be joining the diverse roster of characters already present in the fifth season of Fortnite.
Fortnite Season 5 unlocked a boundless universe of opportunities for featuring iconic characters from various popular franchises. It all began with the Mandalorian as the crown jewel of the season who was then later followed by a myriad of other famous personalities.
Included in the roster were Halo’s Master Chief and even Kratos from God of War. However, while most fans were happy to witness these characters fighting on Battle Island, some fans were disappointed seeing their favorite heroes being totally out of character by doing crazy Fortnite dances.

Developer Epic Games has finally released an official confirmation of the Predator arriving to Fortnite. On Twitter, the company posted a brief trailer featuring a fallen Predator spaceship, which implies the imminent addition of a new character cosmetic.
The new secret skin was teased by the developers in the 15.20 patch notes. The description significantly teased at the Predator being added as a new bounty hunter. Furthermore, Predator-inspired rewards for finishing so-called Jungle Hunter challenges emerged in the game.
The very first tease, however, goes as far as December 2020 when Epic Games included a Predator-themed item in a physical gift bag for a player. It all aided the Fortnite gaming community to identify the identity of the next featured character beforehand. However, while the skin itself is yet to be unveiled, there is no doubt that the alien bounty hunter is on its way to the game.
Although popular characters are now among the most anticipated and hottest additions to the game, Epic Games might be preparing on integrating new gameplay mechanics. Based on a recent leak, the developers are planning to add a “Weapon Mod Slots” feature, which could allow players to add weapon attachments to their guns.
For the time being, guns’ performance in the game depends on rarity, which is rigidly set and can’t be changed by players. Having the choice to utilize attachments can significantly change the way Fortnite’s gameplay is experienced, which could add an entirely new level of complexity and depth to the battle royale game.
Predator fits perfectly in the existing Season 5 content, dedicated to bounty hunters from across different universes. Epic Games will surely keep introducing memorable characters from popular IPs to Fortnite, which could end up in crazy crossover duels between fictional characters who would have never met on the battlefield otherwise.
Soon, players will have the chance to determine if the Mandalorian can beat the notorious Predator.
