PlayStation Studios keeps the Christmas spirit going by releasing a set of exclusive holiday greeting cards for fans to spread the love. According to a PlayStation Blog post, the card’s designs commemorate a myriad of the best developers and games of the year.
The holiday greeting card is just one example of Sony offering Christmas gifts to its supporters. It is a tradition that displays game-inspired experiences from throughout the year. Usually, PlayStation partners and friends from across the world help make the designs.
Included in the 2020 collection is a wide variety of game development studios with popular games throughout the year. Famous studios such as Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Bungie, Bethesda, Activision, and 2K to name just a few.
However, the list wouldn’t be complete without smaller development teams too, and PlayStation has them covered. There are several creative styles depicting indie game developers including Chucklefish Games, Studio MDHR, and Housemarque.
Some of the top games that saw releases on both the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4 also have some designs here. Front and center are famous launch titles such as Ghost of Tsushima and Marvel’s Spiderman: Miles Morales.
The PS Blog team and friends across the industry wish you and yours a very happy holiday season, with plenty of time to relax and tackle that backlog. Enjoy 2020’s holiday card collection: https://t.co/Nl9R7Daeiy pic.twitter.com/Abb9eAdV0Z

However, next-gen cards also have nods to the critically acclaimed Astro’s Playroom and Demon’s Souls. This is just a small glimpse of the cards available on the blog post, with a few recognizable games and characters to collect.
The tradition of the PlayStation blog of posting exclusive holiday cards is surely a treat for players of the long-running studio. There are cool designs in the 2020 collection such as Deacon from Days Gone riding his motorcycle in the air with a bag of gifts.
There is some skill behind different offerings too including the recreation of iconic characters from Horizon Zero Dawn and Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima. This series not only provides joyful tidings to fans but also remarkable artists into the spotlight.
With this said, not all the cards this year reach great heights. Compared to several of the highlights, there are specific cards that look to have less effort invested in them. Various options such as the card of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Zombies from Activision, just have a photo of a game model or character with a slightly festive theme.
While it is essential that PlayStation Studios display diverse studios, there are some development teams in the list that may have players thinking about why they’re included. In general, the exclusive holiday card series is an impressive tradition that presents a lens into the experiences that make PlayStation a great studio.
