Nintendo will release Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl on the Nintendo Switch on November 19. The two games are Nintendo DS remakes of classic Pokemon games, updated for a new generation of Pokemon enthusiasts.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are well aware of the sentimental value attached to launching these two games, which is why they’re going above and beyond to make it unique. Manaphy, for example, will be available to all Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl players soon after the game’s release.
Nintendo revealed a Pokemon distribution possibility for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl players during Wednesday’s Pokemon Presents event. The Mythical Pokemon Manaphy will be available as an egg through the Mystery Gift System in both games.
The distribution event will run from the release of the two games until February 21, 2022. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl users will have to find another way to obtain the rare Pokemon.
Manaphy is a Mythical Pokemon, which means they’re so uncommon in the real world that many people don’t think they exist. Outside of the games, Mythical Pokemon are frequently thought of as Legendaries that can only be obtained through special distribution events. To put it another way, they’re quite unusual.
Manaphy is a Water-type Pokemon that is claimed to have originated from the ocean’s lowest depths. They’re also remarkable for being able to reproduce, albeit their progeny are Phiones rather than more Manaphys.
Manaphy’s distribution, on the other hand, has an extra layer that makes it extremely unique. Even more unique than the typical distribution of Mythical Pokemon. This is due to the fact that the new distribution is an homage to the initial release of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Nintendo’s initial distribution event for the two Pokemon games, which premiered in 2006, was for a Manaphy egg, similar to what Nintendo is doing currently.
To put it another way, Nintendo is commemorating the release of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl by recreating the events surrounding its release. Returning Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl players will be able to relive the memories of playing through Sinnoh and obtaining a Manaphy egg, and rearing it alongside their Pokemon journey.
Nintendo is revisiting the original release of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl in a variety of ways, including the Manaphy distribution. A unique Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia Edition console will also be available. The design of this limited edition Nintendo Switch Lite is identical to that of a 2006 limited edition Nintendo DS Lite. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are not just for new Pokemon enthusiasts but also aficionados of the classic games.
