The MW MP5 Has Been Nerfed In new Call of Duty Warzone Update

Activision Many gamers have noticed modifications to their favorite weapons after Blizzard released an update for Call of Duty: Warzone. The Modern Warfare MP5, a fan favorite weapon, has received a substantial nerf.

Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone started on August 17th. There were several modifications in the latest patch, including weapon nerfs and boosts as well as the inclusion of some new weapons. Charlie Intel, a Call of Duty outlet, saw immediate modifications to the MW MP5 in the form of lower damage and range of effectiveness.

The Modern Warfare MP5 nerf lowered the damage of the submachine gun from 34 to 31 in Modern Warfare while also reducing the range of effectiveness by 5.4 percent. Players may now switch to the Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War version of the weapon, which did not suffer as harsh of a nerf. The SMG was popular among Call of Duty: Warzone fans for close-range confrontations prior to the MP5 nerf, but that might change with Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Season 5.

The Tec-9, PKM, and M16 are among the strongest meta weapons for Call of Duty: Warzone since the August 17 update. While some MP5 players may have discovered a weapon that suits them, others may be on the lookout for a new weapon. Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone may still pick from a wide range of weaponry from the Cold War and Modern Warfare series.

The significant modifications to the original MP5 will be noticeable to experienced Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players. Still, the SMG can be optimized a little better due to various attachments. Although new players to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War may not notice any changes to the weapon, these nerfs are likely to make it less desirable to them.

Several Twitter users recently commented on Charlie Intel’s article on the MP5 nerfs, claiming that the SMG was already powerful. Many more people stated it’s still a good gun to have in your loadout, while some felt it needs to be nerfed so that other firearms could take center stage.
