Pokemon Masters Adding Sword and Shield’s Gloria and Zacian

Despite being a series-wide crossover title, Pokemon Masters has yet to feature any Pokemon or character from the latest set of games, Pokemon Sword and Shield. However, after a year since these games are released on the Nintendo Switch, its first Galar Sync Pair will be added to the game next week.

Revealed on Pokemon Masters’ official Twitter account via a short trailer, Gloria, Sword and Shield’s playable female counterpart, will be coming to Pokemon Masters next week, November 29, 2020. As for her partner Pokemon, fans might be surprised that it will not be from the game’s three starters, but Sword’s legendary sword-wielding Pokemon, Zacian.

Aside from the short clip showcasing the duos’ gameplay, fans are also shocked to hear Gloria speaking, and to those fans’ delight, the new character has a British accent. Though some might be frustrated that she didn’t have the Scottish accent most fans associated her within comics and memes, it at least evades the issue it had with the Twilight Wings animated series. Despite being located in a region thoroughly inspired by the United Kingdom, none of the characters in the game had regional accents.

Fans can no doubt expect to see more characters from the recent games be gradually included in Pokemon Masters. There is a huge possibility that the male trainer, Victor, will be coming to the game sometime soon, since Gloria is with Zacian, it’s highly probable that Victor’s Pokemon will be the series’ other Legendary, Zamazenta.

Other possible characters that might be included in the game are Bede, Marnie, and rival Hop as well as Gym leaders Ness and Milo, and obviously, Leon, the champion himself.
