Risk of Rain 2 Announced for Google Stadia

Hopoo Games has recently announced via Twitter that Risk of Rain 2 will be coming to the Google Stadia. Along with the announcement is a trailer specially made for this upcoming Stadia release.

This multiplayer roguelike third-person shooter title was released in 2019 and is currently available on multiple gaming platforms such as the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. That said, the release date for the Stadia version has not been disclosed just yet.

Near the end of the trailer, you will see that Hopoo Games added a new bonus map for Risk of Rain 2, which will only become available once the game gets released on Stadia. As a matter of fact, this will be a Stadia-only map and there’s no information yet if it will be released on other versions.

This new map is called Sundered Grove and it was created by Ghostpunch, an indie video game development studio.

Risk of Rain 2 is set in an alien planet, where you have to survive and fight your way through hordes of monsters. With over 75 unique items you can loot, you’ll definitely be excited by what’s in store for you as you hack and slash your way through the game.

The game also allows you to play either solo or via co-op, where you can play with up to four friends through different stages and bosses.

In Dev Thoughts #18, developer Hopoo Games plans to release paid DLCs for Risk of Rain 2 in order to help expand their dev team as well as help fund the costs of having to port the game to other consoles.

Meanwhile, if you don’t have a Google Stadia, you can check out the game on Steam.
