Boruto Uzumaki

If the “Naruto” anime has a dark side, it has to be “Boruto.” Here, you have the titular character, who is a missing-nin from the Uzumaki clan and Hyūga clan’s direct descendant through his mom. In the story, missing-nin are ninjas who have abandoned their village with no plans of returning. 

Boruto initially resents Naruto, his dad, because he has not been with him since becoming a Hokage. But he eventually comes to terms with Naruto and respects him and his duties. 

However, Boruto chooses to become a shinobi or a ninja like his mentor, Sasuke Uchiha. But the worst on Boruto is yet to come. He is later forced to defect from their village after his adoptive brother, Kawaki, frames him for being responsible for the killing of his parents. 

Sarada Uchiha

The bespectacled Sarada is a kunoichi from her clan. She may be a beautiful gal, but she has a dark backstory. 

She was raised alone by her mom without her dad around, which caused her to have some sort of identity crisis. She initially struggled to understand who she was and what she was supposed to be. 

But after finally meeting her dad, thanks to Naruto, she comes to believe her connections with others define her. She then aspires to become Hokage like Naruto someday so she can connect with as many people as possible.

Mitsuki

• Birthday: July 25th
• Height: 4’11”

Don’t be surprised when we say Mitsuki is not a real human being but rather a synthetic human created as Orochimaru’s partial clone. Orochimaru is a nasty villain in “Naruto” but later becomes an antihero in “Boruto.” 

Mitsuki migrates to Konohagakure to confirm if Boruto is indeed his “sun” and then becomes a shinobi. He is known for his tousled white-blue hair, golden eyes, thin eyebrows, and pale complexion, which he got from his parent. 

Konohamaru Sarutobi

• Age: 27
• Birthday: December 30th
• Height: 5’10”

Meanwhile, Konohamaru is a shinobi of his clan. After later becoming a jōnin (highly experienced and skilled shinobi who serve as military captains with superhuman abilities), he eventually becomes his own genin team’s leader (genin are the lowest level of ninjas but display the most difference in power). Konohamaru strives to become Hokage one day after Naruto, his idol.

Himawari Uzumaki

• Birthday: August 1st
• Height: 4’6″

Cute and adorable, Himawari is a citizen of Konohagakure, who, like Boruto, is also a direct descendant of the Hyūga clan, apart from being part of the Uzumaki clan. Three years following its demise, she becomes the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails. Jinchūriki are human beings but with tailed beasts sealed in them. Nine-Tails is one of the nine-tailed beasts. 

Himawari looks a lot like her mom with her dark blue hair she wears with straight bangs, as well as a hime-cut. Her hair, like her brother’s, flares out on the back and sides. She also has an ahoge, a term that translates to “foolish hair” on top of her head, resembling a leaf stem. Looking at her, you will remember the titular character from another anime, “Heidi, Girl of the Alps.”

Naruto Uzumaki

Sasuke Uchiha

Like Naruto, Sasuke also returns in “Boruto.” He is among the last surviving members of his clan. But his outlook on life turned bitter after Itachi, his older brother, slaughtered their clan. Since then, he has made it his life’s mission to avenge his beloved family members by killing Itachi once and for all. 

For others, he is full of hatred, but he has every reason to be who he is. His years of seeking vengeance and subsequent actions have turned him irrational and made him isolate himself from others. Thus, he has been branded as an international criminal.

Sakura Uchiha

• Height: 5’5″

The charming Sakura also makes a comeback in “Boruto.” In “Naruto,” you have known her as a kunoichi. She did not start off as a skilled shinobi. However, she trained under the Sannin Tsunade, overcame her failures, and was hailed as one of the world’s greatest medical-nin. In “Boruto,” she is a loving mother to Sarada. Sasuke is her husband.
