Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground was revealed by Gasket Games and Focus Home at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. The game will have the Stormcast Eternals as its heroic faction, going head to head against Nagash’s undead Nighthaunt.
No exact release date or gameplay was shown but it will launch sometime in 2021 on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It does seem like we will be able to command a Lord-Celestant mounted on a Stardrake, though, which is some great news.
We previously knew that Gasket Games was going to release a new title that would be an Age of Sigmar strategy game. This could be part of Games Workshop’s urge for more AAA Warhammer games.
Gasket Games is comprised of veterans from Relic Games, who are behind the beloved Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War games. Staff who previously worked at Blackbird Interactive on Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak are also part of the team. There is a strong possibility that this could be a great strategy offering.
