As we all know, Blizzard has been busy with Overwatch 2. As such, players of the game have started making their very own game modes using the workshop mode that has been made accessible to the fans.

Most of these fan-made modes focus on team or deathmatches, which is how Overwatch is usually played. However, one brilliant and creative player has ventured where others have not and created a horror PVE mode, which he named “Glitch in the System.”

The creator, Therister, revealed his horrifying creation on Reddit, along with a trailer that will make the hair on your neck stand on edge. Check out the trailer below:

[Epilepsy Warning] i made a glitch-themed PvE HORROR gamemode with A.I. monsters in Workshop! – GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM – by Therister, the Aleph-Null Boss Fight guy – watch until the end. check comments for more details 🙂 from Overwatch

Your main goal in this is quite simple; all you have to do is collect all the orbs. However, it won’t be as easy as you think. As soon as you pick up an orb, you will start hearing Sombra voice lines. Not only that, but the screen will start blinking and you will start “hallucinating” Sombras around you.

Now, here’s the most interesting part: you play as Doomfist in Therister’s game mode. As you may or may not know, Doomfist is weak against Sombra, as she will be able to disarm him easily with one hack.

Not only that, but there’s no way for you to fire at the Sombras. All you can do is use Doomfist’s abilities to help you navigate the map and get as far away as possible from the Sombras.

As you progress, you will start to hallucinate texts as well i.e. words will blink on the screen. This gives you the sensation that someone has hacked into the system, thus the title “Glitch in the System.”

What’s creepy is that Sombra will keep following you, lurking in the shadows. Plus, fog will be blocking your view most of the time, so you’re not that sure what’s ahead of you while you play the game.

If you want to try out this game mode, Therister has included the workshop code in the trailer: HHHPHB. You can play with up to 4 people, but if you want the full horror experience, its recommended that you dive into it alone.
