Executive producer Ray Winninger revealed the “next generation of Dungeons and Dragons” during the recent D&D Celebration 2021. The creation of new Dungeons & Dragons rulebooks has been disclosed, with a tentative publication date of 2024.
Winninger did state, however, that the new books’ ruleset will be completely compatible with the present Fifth Edition. There was no indication of whether or not the future rulebooks will be official 6e releases.
Several expansions for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition have already been released, bringing a slew of new races and classes to the game’s basic material. Players may add new aspects to their campaigns and personalize their characters using popular Fifth Edition rulebooks like Mordekainen’s Tome of Foes and the forthcoming Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons.
