The day where nearly everyone in the world celebrates love is almost upon us, and what other way to mark the special occasion than with an incredible sale? Well, that’s exactly what GOG is doing. For this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration, the digital storefront will be debuting its “We Love Games” sale.
This particular sale offers over 2,500 deals, with discounts that reach up to a whopping 92%. What’s more, there are several major titles included in the sale. Interested gamers have until February 15 to purchase these discounted titles.
The We Love Games promotion is definitely worth checking out, as popular titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition currently has an 80% discount, Dishonored: Complete Collection has a 70% discount, and there’s a 10% price drop on Cyberpunk 2077.
That’s not all, though—other highly acclaimed titles have also been given discounted prices, including The Outer Worlds, Control: Ultimate Edition, Journey to the Savage Planet, Frostpunk, Carrion, The Surge 1 & 2 Dual Pack, and Metro Exodus.
XCOM 2 has a jaw dropping 92% discount as well, while a bunch of video games by Bethesda are also included in the sale, such as Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, Prey, and different editions of Fallout.
Needless to say, it’s a massive sale with incredible price drops, so it will surely draw in a ton of PC gamers—especially since a lot of them are still stuck at home with not much else to do due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That being said, there have been rumors claiming that Valve’s popular digital storefront, Steam, will also be launching its own sale soon to compete with GOG. In fact, leaks say that the storefront will allegedly begin its annual Lunar New Year Sale on February 11, 2021.
It’s highly likely that this leak is true as well, given the fact that Steam celebrates Lunar New Year on an annual basis. Basing on the prior promotions from previous years, Steam’s Lunar New Year sale for 2021 will probably celebrate the occasion with massive discounts on multiple titles.
There are other digital storefronts that have been joining in on this month’s festivities as well. Even Ubisoft Connect is celebrating its own Lunar New Year sale right now, and titles like Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and Rainbow Six Siege have decreased prices.
What’s more, Ubisoft Connect is also giving away Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China for free from February 9, 2021 through February 16, 2021, so fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise who haven’t played this spin-off yet should definitely check it out.
With Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year celebrated so close together, several digital video game distributors are taking the opportunity to utilize attractive sales that will surely draw in gamers from around the globe.
