Seeing as BlizzCon 2021 (otherwise known as BlizzConline 2021) is almost upon us, Blizzard Entertainment has decided to give excited fans a first look at what the schedule of activities is going to look like. The schedule was posted on Blizzard’s main website, and it confirms that fans can look forward to news and updates from several titles, including World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo, among others.
BlizzCon started all the way back in 2005, and it’s basically a period of time when the fans and the company’s creators come together to celebrate the different games in Blizzard’s repertoire. During BlizzCon, fans can usually look forward to various teasers for upcoming or unannounced projects, as well as sneak peeks into forthcoming content.
Other than that, BlizzCon also has panels for Blizzard employees and the like, who share to fans behind-the-scenes content. Because of the ongoing pandemic, however, BlizzCon 2021 will be completely digital and interested gamers can watch the event for free.
According to the announced schedule, the event’s Opening Ceremony will begin on February 19 at 5:00 PM EST. Now, it’s probably best to tune into this segment of the event, even though it’s just the opening ceremony, as it will feature brand-new reveals.
Thank you for 30 years of memories!

For one hour, the company will showcase its different major titles, namely World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo, and Overwatch. Afterwards, there will be separate events for each game, where discussion will purely focus on the particular titles.
Looking at the schedule, we can see that both World of Warcraft and Diablo players can look forward to “What’s Next” sessions. These will most likely give fans an idea about what they can expect from the two titles in the future. For instance, there’s a chance that Blizzard will discuss Diablo 4 and its progress, even though the upcoming game won’t be released this year.
In other news, Hearthstone will be getting a “Deep Dive” session, which will most likely discuss Blizzard’s free-to-play digital collectible card game in a more in-depth manner, as well as a Battlegrounds Exhibition for the game.
Now, many Overwatch fans will be looking forward to this one: at 6:10 PM EST, those who have been waiting for any Overwatch 2 news or updates can tune into the behind the scenes meeting.

The activities will continue the following day, but this time around, it will focus more on community support. After a few Q&A discussions, fans of the iconic Critical Role can look forward to a Diablo campaign that will begin at 5:05 PM. Around that same timeframe, Hearthstone fans can check out a Streamer Showdown.
Even though BlizzCon underwent a few controversies in recent years, it can’t be denied that it’s still a major event even until today. Even though the event will be celebrated online this year, Blizzard still isn’t holding back when it comes to content and activities.
Lasting up to two days, fans of Blizzard and its games can expect to learn a lot about the company’s ongoing and upcoming titles. Plus, it’s great that Blizzard made space for a Community Showcase, as it puts a special spotlight onto the fans who have supported the company for years.
That being said, fans who are looking forward to news about Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 may want to keep their expectations in check. Blizzard probably won’t reveal their respective release dates just yet, especially since both titles are potentially going to be pushed back.
