In Rockstar’s new open-world western, Red Dead Redemption 2, there are a lot of fantastic weapons to discover. There are several special guns in the game that are easter eggs from other Rockstar Games, including Grand Theft Auto and Bully, but other popular weapons are worth discovering. The Ancient Tomahawk is one of them, and here’s how to find it.
To obtain the Ancient Tomahawk in Red Dead Redemption 2, you must first travel to the area near Calumet Ravine, which is indicated on the map below. Players will find an old target practice stand as they arrive in the field.
A goal is leaned against one of the supports to the left of the stand, and inside the target is the Ancient Tomahawk. The Ancient Tomahawk is attached to your Compendium without the need for a special event; retrieve it from the target.
According to the Compendium entry, the Ancient Tomahawk is a one-of-a-kind tool “a traditional Native American Tomahawk with a striped bound shaft and a sharply polished blade. This weapon has been well handled by one of the locals, despite certain signs of age.” The Ancient Tomahawk is one of the most stealthy weapons in the series, with a one-hit kill at near range.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, you will find 59 different firearms, ranging from revolvers to handguns to rifles and shotguns. The game’s large number of weapons not only encourages each player to enjoy fighting in their own unique way, but it also provides collectors with a fun challenge.
With the addition of the lethal Ancient Tomahawk to your arsenal, you’ll be one step closer to possessing all of the weapons in this massive game.
