Developed by Reality Labs, this is a standalone virtual reality headset featuring updated hardware with the attributes and elements of the Quest Pro, including a much thinner form factor and lenses, plus additional sensors and color passthrough cameras intended for mixed reality software. 

Its controllers, known as Touch controllers, are as crucial as the joysticks of your PlayStation console. But how do you actually pair these controllers? Find out in this guide.

Pre-Requisites 

Before you can do so, you must prepare:

  • Meta Quest 3 headset
  • Meta Quest 3 controllers 
  • Mobile phone built-in with the Meta Quest app 
  • Wi-Fi connectivity

The Steps Are Plenty

Pairing your Meta Quest 3 controllers can be tedious, so this PVP Live guide is here to help. Follow these steps: 

  1. Make sure both the headset and the mobile phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi. 
  2. Once this is confirmed, launch your Meta Quest App. 
  3. Tap Menu located in the bottom right-hand corner of your phone’s display. 
  4. Of course, the menu window will open. On top of the display, you will spot three rows of brightly colored rounded squares. 
  5. This time, tap Devices, the second icon from the left in the second row. It is easy to identify this icon as it is gray and has a VR headset symbol in it. 
  6. Now, you’ll be able to see the Meta Quest 3 displayed.
  7. This step will have you scrolling down until you read the section Headset Settings.
  8. Here, tap Controller.
  9. You will then see a list of every controller. Choose Connect New Controller.  
  10. Then, you will see every controller option that can connect with your headset. This will be as a list. 
  11. Now, choose the controller you wish to connect first. For instance, should you wish to connect your right controller, obviously, tap Connect Right Controller. 
  12. After that, you must pair this right controller. On the right controller, press and hold the Meta Quest button and the B button for four seconds.
  13. By this time, your right controller is now connected to the Quest’s headset.
  14. To connect the left controller, yes, you guessed it, tap Connect Left Controller. 
  15. To pair the left controller, you must press and hold the Menu and Y buttons this time for four seconds.

Pairing is done. 

Unpairing Your Controllers

If you wish to unpair your Mets Quest 3 controllers, first, be sure the headset is on, prior to you opening the Meta Horizon mobile app on your phone. Then, launch the Meta Horizon app. Then, tap at the top of the Horizon Feed.

Find Devices and tap this area. Now, choose the headset from which you want to unpair your controllers. Then, tap Headset Settings and Controllers after. Choose the controller you wish to unpair before tapping Unpair Controller.

‘Sasaki And Miyano’

Next up is “Sasaki and Miyano,” which is probably the most popular of this bunch and the anime that has gotten the loudest wails and cheers from the fans. The story is a modern-day love blueprint, as seen in live-action Thai BL series. 

Simply, its story is about a high school boy who meets a fellow high school boy. The show does not need heavy themes like Mafia or worldwide themes like sports to be fresh for the eyes.

Miyano is a shy first-year student and an anime fan, while Sasaki is a second-year sweetheart with a bad reputation. They ignite a friendship that slowly transforms into something that Miyano realizes he’s not into girls as he initially thought he was.

‘The Stranger By The Shore’

Meanwhile, this is more of an anime movie than a series. The story follows the lives of two men, Shun Hashimoto and Okinawa. The former is a novelist disowned by his mom and dad after he came out of the closet. The latter is an orphaned high school who likes sitting by the sea. One day, they just met, and a bond started to grow between them. 

Unlike other movies, this is just spanning one hour, but you will be treated to a lot of beautiful visuals and delightful character stories. Don’t resist crying. 

‘Love Stage!!’

If some animes here have Mafia or beach themes, this show is all about stage performances. There’s Izumi Sena, a nepo baby born in a family of celebrities. His father is a musician, while his mother is an artist, not to mention having a brother who is a member of a pop band. Sadly, like Mirabel in “Encanto,” who wasn’t gifted with powers, considering she came from a family of magicians, Sena wasn’t born talented. Instead, he is nerdy and poor. But he’s got the good looks. Thus, he got cast in a commercial, and during the shoot, he caught the attention of actor Ryouma Ichijou, who fell in love with him after mistaking him for a woman. But, even if he found out that Sena was actually a guy, his feelings for him remained. Quite interesting.

‘The Untamed’

Alright, this BL anime is more Chinese than Japanese. The story follows the reign of Wei Wu Xian, which came to an end when one of his allies murdered him. You may already know what happens next. Yes, he gets reincarnated as a madman, not a slime, 13 years later and reunites with his former classmate Lan Wang Ji. They collaborate to unravel the mysteries of their worlds. Did the PVP Live team mention it is set in ancient China? Wow.

‘The Night Beyond The Tricornered Window’

“The Night Beyond The Tricornered Window” is BL with horror themes. You’ve got Kosuke Mikado, a mild-mannered bookstore worker who can perceive the supernatural. He then encounters an exorcist named Rihito Hiyakawa, who drags him into the spirit world. That story is quite weird, so you better watch it to discover what happens. 

‘Heaven Official’s Blessing’

Last is “Heaven Official’s Blessing,” which is also a Chinese anime adaptation. This time, it tells the tale of Crown Prince Xie Lian, who rises to heaven after eight centuries of “Cultivation.” The moment he gets to heaven, he actually gets imprisoned in the mortal realm again. Do the gods in heaven have something to do with this? He embarks on a journey to find out. The visuals are splendid, and the soundtrack is brilliant.

Well, Larval Tears also sound like “larva” tearing up? No, but these items allow you to respec in “Elden Ring” without the “T.” Simply put, it means letting you reallocate every point you have spent leveling up. In this way, you can modify your build if you wish to explore new playstyles or maybe even refund some of your misplaced stat points. However, you can’t get all their perks unless you find it first. Are you wondering where to spot every Larval Tear in this game? Here’s a guide for you.

Limgrave 

By the time you reach Rennala, surprise, surprise, you may still not locate Larval Tears because of the availability of only a few places to find them. Earlier in the game, you can, but there are others as you work through the questline of Ranni the Witch. 

One piece of Larval Tear can be found in Limgrave, near Agheel Lake, South of the Site of Grace.

Agheel Lake South 

East of Agheel Lake, on the south side of the Site of Grace, you will find a generic soldier standing on a cliff that overlooks the road. Upon killing this soldier, he will turn into a lesser runebear. Yes, a runebear. Now, you must beat the runebear so a Larval Tear can drop.

Liurnia of the Lakes

This place is not only beautiful, but also where you can find a total of three Larval Tears near Rose Church, at the rear of Caria Manor, and Pidia, Carian Servant. Let’s break it down.

Rose Church

This Church is one of the most widely visited in the game. A few steps southeast of Rose Church, you will see a patrolling giant lobster. Odd, but real. Upon killing it, it will show its proper form, a grafted scion. Defeat this grafted scion so it drops a Larval Tear. It is basically roughly the same process as the enemy at Agheel Lake South. 

Behind Caria Manor

Not in Caria Manor per se, but behind Caria Manor. After making your way through this Manor and beating Royal Knight Loretta, you will then gain access to the Three Sisters plateau north of Liurnia. 

Now, you must head east through the road there, then turn southeast. This time, wolves are guarding a graveyard together with a non-boss version of Radagon’s Red Wolf. Nearby, you will spot a ghost sitting on a chair. Talk to it, and it will simply disappear upon leaving its word, then drop a Larval Tear.

Pidia, Carian Servan

After defeating the Royal Knight Loretta, simply proceed west along the Three Sisters plateau to find a dropped-down path along the cliff where you must meet with Carian Servant Pidia. Yes, the name is not a location initially but a person. This vendor inside Caria Manor sells a Larval Tear for 3,000 Runes. 

Depending on how far you have made it to Seluvis’s or Ranni’s questlines, Pidia should be dead when you arrive. That’s unfortunate, but if she is, get his bell bearing and bring it to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. Since Pidia is then, by this time, purchase your Larval Tear from them instead. 

Siofra River and Nokron, Eternal City

Your next stop for your next Larval Tear is at Siofra River and Nokron, located at the Eternal City. 

But those location names are not the actual locations where the Larval Tears are. Instead, they are slightly found underground. You can find one in the Siofra River region at the Abandoned Merchant, with four more in Nokron, Eternal City, when you get to that particular part in the questline of Ranni the Witch.

Abandoned Merchant

To get to the Larval Tear here, find the merchant selling west of the Worshippers’ Woods Site of Grace. You’ve got to prepare 3,000 Runes to avail of their Larval Tear. Or, do the same process earlier by killing them for their bell bearing, then purchasing it instead from the Twin Maiden Husks.

Nokron, Eternal City

From Nokron at the Eternal City Site of Grace, proceed southeast. Find a building with an open door there so you can loot this Larval Tear from the corpse inside. 

Slime Gazebo

The other spot for your Larval Tear is at Slime Gazebo. Proceed a bit farther east to find a bunch of stairs. Take them on your way to the Mimic Tear boss fight. At the foot of the stairs, locate a gazebo, which should be on your right. As you approach, you’ll encounter a few slimes. Now, fight them off and loot your Larvar Tear from the corpse of that battle. 

Mimic Tear

As discussed a while ago, the last Larval Tear is at Mimic Tear, or rather with the Mimic Tear, which you must face off against in the southeast of the Nokron ruins. Simply beat it so it drops your Larval Tears.
