Decentralized Exchange Osmosis total value locked has surpassed $1 billion

Some cryptocurrencies are still showing a drop in total value locked and native token prices at the start of 2022. Osmosis, on the other hand, has a different story to tell. Trackers disclosed on Monday that the overall locked value of this Cosmos network’s first decentralized exchange has increased (TVL).

The start of 2022 appears to brighten the dazzling light for Osmosis to flourish. The network has recently gained a lot of attention in blockchains. Ethereum is an outlier, with its high transaction prices and slow transaction rates.

According to Token Terminal, an analytics tool, Osmosis’s average daily trading volume is increasing. The platform earned approximately $46.6 million in December, compared to $4.1 million in July.

osmosis-og-7796122

Furthermore, according to CoinGecko data, the Osmosis native token (OSMO) increased by 13% in the last 24 hours to $7.78. This raises the token to a new all-time high (ATH), exceeding its previous ATH of $6.80 set in November.

Furthermore, while holding OSMO, a user obtains incentives and yields by staking his tokens. He also has a participatory mandate in the protocol’s governance and contributes to its expansion initiatives.

Osmosis uses smart contract technology to execute user transactions. It does not necessitate the involvement of a middleman. Its value proposition is determined by its plans. Part of the protocol extends to other blockchains, such as Ethereum, and those that support the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol.

The interchange and sharing of data between blockchains are feasible using IBC. The IBC protocol was created to make it easier to connect blockchains using Tendermint. Furthermore, this software assists developers in replicating identical copies of apps on networks developed on its platform.

image-3014211

The efforts of Osmosis aided the flag-off in the IBC operations. For example, a tweet from the IBC developers in July 2021 indicated that Osmosis completed over 19,500 transactions each day following its launch.

This figure represents a huge rise above the previous 236 transactions prior to the establishment of IBC. In addition, Osmosis generated $21 million from a token sale in October 2021 under the auspices of Paradigm Capital.

Cosmos is the first and most notable Tendermint network designed to function as a blockchain internet. The creators intend to create an ecosystem in which applications run on various blockchains. However, the applications must continue to communicate freely with one another.

Cryptocurrencies and blockchains would fast become widespread with this functionality. This is due to the fact that users can conveniently access several blockchains from a single platform.

There is no need to go through them all manually by logging into one application after another. Cosmos is the 18th-largest blockchain network by market capitalization.

CFO of Robinhood tells the company has no plans to invest in cryptocurrency

Robinhood chief financial officer Jason Warnick told The Wall Street Journal’s virtual CFO Network Summit that there are no compelling strategic reasons for the company to invest a large amount of its capital in cryptocurrency.

Warnick joins the ranks of other CFOs, such as Twitter CFO Ned Segal, who have expressed qualms about adding cryptocurrencies into their companies’ financial statements. While some are concerned about the continuous volatility of the assets, others are unable to incorporate them into their company’s investment strategy.

rh_founding_post_05-2567879

Companies such as Tesla, Block Inc., and MicroStrategy, on the other hand, have undertaken high-profile Bitcoin acquisitions, investing hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars in cryptocurrencies.

Another factor affecting Robinhood’s choice to avoid cryptocurrency is its regulatory status. According to Warnick, the firm seeks assistance from regulators on how to treat crypto assets.

“We’re a highly regulated company in a highly regulated industry,” Warnick continued, “and we believe it’s vital that authorities offer us with a little more clarity.” As a result, Robinhood has decided against adding any new cryptocurrencies to its existing cryptocurrency offerings, which include Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin.

“We are aware that our customers and others would like to see us offer more currencies,” Warnick remarked.

Customers, for example, have been screaming for the addition of Shiba Inu to the site since at least October of last year. Finally, because crypto trading is no longer a popular function among consumers, the corporation is considering its halt.

In the most recent quarter, Robinhood earned $51 million on cryptocurrency deals, down from $233 million the prior quarter.

Crypto-Related LinkedIn Job Posts Grew by 395% In 2021

As we’re all aware by now, 2021 was a massive year for cryptocurrency, so much so that the industry even impacted careers. According to LinkedIn, crypto-related job searches skyrocketed last year, increasing by 395% within the USA alone. Notably, the crypto industry also surpassed the general tech industry, which experienced incredible development last year.

However, with its 98% growth, the tech industry is incomparable to crypto jobs, which saw a massive increase of 395%. Moreover, cryptocurrency seeped into most industries, and they couldn’t escape from its hold and appeal. The LinkedIn News stated the following regarding this matter:

screenshot-pvplive-net-2022-01-18-11_34_03

It seems that this trend will keep on increasing this year, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping or slowing down anytime soon. For one thing, major crypto exchanges are chock-full of job posts these days. Some examples include Kraken with more than 300 openings, Binance with over 600 openings, and Coinbase with more than 250 openings.

The maximalists who are into Bitcoin (BTC) now have a new resource called Bitcoiner Jobs. This service helps connect Bitcoin investors with Bitcoin-only companies and already offers nearly 100 Satoshi-approved jobs. There’s an ongoing HR trend known as crypto remuneration for those who are having a difficult time transitioning into crypto-related jobs.

In 2021, NYC and Miami mayors announced that they would start accepting a portion of their pay in Bitcoin. Not only that, but seven NFL players also chose crypto over cash salaries.

But even though the crypto career sector seems to be gaining popularity and more people are looking to switch jobs, LinkedIn users are not as convinced. Most of the comments left on the LinkedIn post were from confused audiences wondering why crypto even has value. There was also one frustrated copywriter who protested against the crypto industry and its scam-like nature.

Investing in an NFTs: How to Begin Building a Portfolio

0
word-image-446

The traditional method of buying a collectible is changing. Traditional methods are riddled with issues, and the NFT concept is revolutionizing the entire market. An NFT is unique and offers investment security to the buyer. We are going to look into what an NFT is, what forms of an NFT there are to purchase, and do they represent a good opportunity for an investment or are they just a passing fad.

What is an NFT?

NFT is an abbreviation of ‘non-fungible token’. ‘Non-fungible’ means that we cannot exchange one item for another because it is unique. A good example of this is to imagine a piece of art. This art piece is not identical to another as both have unique properties. When thinking about a fungible item, however, these items can be traded for each other. A good way to imagine this is to think about a $10 note or a Bitcoin, which is exactly equal in value to another.

But what is an NFT? NFTs are tokens that are present on the blockchain and will represent the ownership of a unique item. This can be helpful in many ways. When trying to track who owns a regular digital file can be difficult because it can be copied and distributed with relative ease. Proving who is the original owner is what is important. Imagine that you made a piece of digital art, which would essentially be a JPEG file on your computer. It is possible to create or mint an NFT out of this. The NFT that represents your art contains some unique information on it, such as a file’s unique fingerprint, token names, and symbols. The token is stored securely inside the blockchain, the creator of it now has ownership. Tokens can then be sold by making a blockchain transaction. The blockchain ensures that the information on the token never gets tampered with. It is also possible to find out who owns the token currently, as well as be able to see its transaction history.

It is important to note that a piece of art, for example, is not kept inside of an NFT, or on the blockchain, but instead, its key attributes are, such as the fingerprint or hash of the file, the token name, symbol, and it is possible to link a file which is held on IPFS. NFTs become a little weird when a piece of art in the form of an NFT is bought, as you don’t get a physical version of it. Most of the time, anyone can download a copy for free.

The NFT only represents the person who owns the piece, with this information being stored securely in a blockchain so the information can’t be tampered with, which makes ownership incredibly secure. Some say that NFTs give you digital bragging rights, and to make it even more peculiar, while the token owner will now own the original piece of artwork, the creator of it owns the copyright, as well as the rights to reproduce it. So, it is possible for an artist to sell their original artwork as an NFT but also has the option to carry on selling prints.

How can you enter this world?

You can sell your own NFTs online. These can be either NFTs that you have bought or made yourself. You can also hire an artist to make some for you. Once you have some of your own, you can sell them online. You can set up your own store using a website builder to display the latest collection of digital assets you have for sale and start making some money.

Why are Some NFTs More Valuable than Others?

Some NFT’s sell for millions of dollars, and some sell for just a couple of dollars. The worth of an NFT is valued at what people are willing to pay for it. So if somebody will pay $2000 for a certain NFT, then its value is $2000. Demand drives an NFT’s value, so it more or less becomes worthless if nobody wants to buy it. In short, an NFT is a smart contract that lives in the security of a blockchain. A contract for an NFT will store the unique attributes of an item, keep a history of ownership, and it is possible to program an NFT so that royalties will be given to the creator each time the ownership is changed.

NFT’s Aside from Artwork

There are plenty of up-and-coming NFT artists, and especially a lot of the best NFT artists to look out for in 2022 are very exciting. But aside from a digital form of art, it is possible to sell concert tickets, in-game items, real estate, domain names, and just about anything which is unique and ownership of something can be proved through an NFT. A highly recognized example of this is when Jack Dorsey, who is one of the founders of Twitter, sold the first tweet that he ever made, as an NFT. Anyone who looks at his profile is free to see the very same tweet, but since it became an NFT, it can only have one owner. Incredibly, the person that bought the tweet paid more than $2.9 million to become its owner. You could even be the owner of a YouTube video and sell it as an NFT, even though it is free for everyone to watch.

NFT’s are Not to Be Confused with Cryptocurrency

NFTs often get confused as a cryptocurrency because both concepts require the use of blockchains. This would be like comparing a piece of artwork to a dollar bill. They are both very different from each other even though both are printed onto a piece of paper. Cryptocurrency is just like fiat currency, ie this $10 bill is worth as much as another $10 bill, and this is true with the likes of Bitcoin. An NFT purchase is different, much like purchasing crypto art will be of different value to another – they are unique. A piece of artwork may well be replicated, but more often than not, the piece will have a unique id, #10/100, for example, and an NFT can work just the same.

A piece of art can be the ‘same’, but with its unique id number, the values of them can differ from piece to piece. A #1 in a collection is far more likely to be worth more than #20,000.

An Overview of NFTs, and do they make for a Good Investment?

For argument’s sake, you can think of an NFT as something that is collectible but in digital form. The traditional idea of investing in a collectible is by purchasing something in its physical form and watching its value appreciate over time. Common collectibles such as wine, coins, classic cars, comic books, and trading cards are all considered as great investment opportunities, as they are more than likely going to go up in value if kept in good condition. Over time, these items will become scarcer, and rarity is a major driving factor in the value of an item. Also, it may be impossible to buy something new from a creator if they cease to produce new items, adding further value to a piece.

Traditional methods of collecting come with a high level of risk attached to them, as there are extremely good forgeries being made, but an NFT can be traced right back to its creation date. This priceless layer of security makes an NFT a solid investment, one of the best investments to survive a stock market crash, and certainly something that will catch on more and more.

Crypto.com Temporarily Stops Withdrawals Due to a Suspicious Transaction Pattern

Crypto.com, a renowned crypto platform, and wallet, recently decided to pause any withdrawals due to “suspicious activity” noticed by users on their accounts. Fortunately, the platform assures its users that “all funds are safe” at this time. One of the people who noticed a suspicious transaction pattern within the platform was Billy Markus, the founder of the popular meme token Dogecoin.

https://twitter.com/BillyM2k/status/1482982678324383746?s=20

Crypto enthusiast Ben Baller also noted a complaint to Crypto.com, saying that he lost about 4.28 ETH (or approximately $15,000 when converted) “out of nowhere.” In the same tweet, he wondered how the alleged hackers could bypass his two-factor authentication, which indicates that the perpetrators were somehow also able to evade the platform’s security features.

Unfortunately, cryptocurrency exchanges are prone to hacks and security breaches, among other things. This isn’t the crypto industry’s first time dealing with hackers and other suspicious activities. Immunefi, a decentralized finance (DeFi) security platform, discovered that scams, malicious activities, hacks, and the like surpassed $10.2 billion in 2021 alone.

According to the report, about 120 crypto exploits or rug-pulls occurred last year, with Poly Network taking the highest-valued hack at $613 million.

Introducing SkyArk Chronicles: A Play-To-Earn Game for RPG Lovers

2021 was a big year for cryptocurrency, so much so that people are now left wondering what 2022 has in store for this unpredictable industry. More than 100 new projects are created daily, and approximately 80 cryptocurrencies are reaching market capitalizations of about $1 billion. At this point, it’s clear that the crypto market isn’t only attracting potential investors.

Crypto has permeated our everyday lives, even incorporating itself into various industries. One particular industry that got the crypto market excited is the gaming sector. The gaming market is currently valued at $173.70 billion, but it’s expected to go much higher by 2025 at around $314.4 billion.

However, this estimated figure still doesn’t include the DeFi gaming sector, which is also rapidly increasing during this time. These days, gamers don’t play games only for entertainment but as a source of income by streaming their playthroughs. Blockchain technology makes this even more convenient because gamers can earn while playing via in-game currency and NFTs.

In this case, NFTs come in various in-game features like characters, cosmetics, or even land. These are proven to be quite popular among crypto gamers. For instance, a piece of metaverse land recently sold more than $106 million in December 2021.

Now, another company is looking to take innovation to a whole different level by combining the metaverse with RPG gaming. SkyArk, the developer of SkyArk Chronicles, wants to revolutionize the gaming industry with the help of Dapps and Game-Fi. SkyArk Chronicles is still currently in the works, but it has already sparked the attention of many.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2022-01-17-18_02_24

Why SkyArk Will Go Places in This Industry

SkyArk is an up-and-coming decentralized finance (DeFi) gaming company that recently caught the gaming industry’s attention. The company specializes in developing Dapps and consists of some of the best dev teams in the crypto world. SkyArk wants to take DeFi gaming to another level by developing triple-A games that appeal to gamers.

The company is currently developing its first game called SkyArk Chronicles, composed of three games entitled House of Heroes, Legends Arise, and Mirroverse. These games will come with interoperable NFTs that players can use across the three games. To achieve this kind of functionality, SkyArk is creating a unique NFT Game Engine that can seamlessly connect each game.

Although the gaming market is currently setting its eyes on the new play-to-earn model, SkyArk wants to develop a game that gives people a real reason to keep playing. The team notes that although gamers can earn an income through gaming these days, they don’t want income to be the only reason people keep playing their games.

Rather, SkyArk plans on blending income potential and truly exciting and immersive gameplay. Something similar to the popular GTA franchise, only you’ll be earning real money simultaneously.

What to Expect From SkyArk Chronicles

As mentioned, SkyArk is currently working on SkyArt Chronicles, which is expected to release this year. Composed of three different games, SkyArk Chronicles is a fantasy-verse anime RPG where players are tasked to find Satoshi Nakamoto. Each player will discover a fun and unique storyline along with various mysteries while they set out on this new adventure.

Players can also create and customize their characters to develop and upgrade as they keep playing. They can also earn other NFT rewards and even SkyArk ($SAR), the currency the game uses. As soon as players earn these rewards, there are a couple of options available: they can either stake them for even more rewards, trade them on the marketplace or save them so they can buy powerups and better items in-game.

SkyArk Chronicles players can also earn another currency known as the Relic Energy Ore ($REO), which they can earn by killing monsters and accomplishing missions. Players can use this currency to buy powerups and features for their characters like collectibles, attributes, and levels.

screenshot-www-youtube-com-2022-01-17-18_02_57

Guilds

SkyArk wants to promote cooperation among players, so there will be guilds available in SkyArk Chronicles. Players can create guilds with their friends or even with players they only met in-game. While you can always play solo, playing with a group and cooperating with them adds a completely new layer to RPG games such as SkyArk Chronicles. By fighting powerful monsters together, your team can acquire amazing items, powerups, and more.

SkyLands

While developing SkyArk Chronicles, the team at SkyArk considered every type of player out there to ensure that the RPG title caters to various gamers. Not only can players explore a fun new world while simultaneously earning an income, but SkyArk Chronicles also allows them to own a piece of land in the game.

These lands, known as the SkyLands, allows you to create cities or farms and even mine the area for resources. Players can sell those resources in exchange for in-game currency, allowing them to level up their characters quickly. If you choose to explore rather than stay in your land, you can even lease your land to other players to earn an income.

Conclusion

There’s undoubtedly a lot of hype surrounding SkyArk’s current project, especially since the three games in development are most likely revolutionary, as the company is looking to break the boundaries in blockchain gaming. SkyArk Chronicles is expected to release sometime this 2022, and we have yet to see how well the team meets the gaming industry’s expectations.

Near Protocol Raised $150M to Promote the Adoption of Web3

Near Protocol recently raised $150 million in seed investments to adopt Web3. According to the announcement made by the team, they would be using the funds to develop regional hubs and raise awareness for decentralized blockchains and technologies.

Not only that, but Near Protocol also plans on using the money to help promote the adoption of Web3. The announcement states that the funds will “help billions of people learn and use blockchain.” Thanks to the significant amount raised, projects developed and launched on the Near blockchain will engage and connect with more audiences.

Hedge fund Three Arrows Capital led this investment round, with the help and participation of other organizations, including Mechanism Capital, Dragonfly Capital, a16z, Jump, Alameda, Zee Prime, Folius, Amber Group, 6th Man Ventures, and Circle Ventures. Even Near’s ecosystem fund, MetaWeb.VC, joined in on the seed round, along with Alan Howard, Santiago Santos, and Aave founder Stani Kulechov.

Three Arrows Capital’s co-founder and chairman, Kyle Davies, states that they were looking forward to supporting Near Protocol’s team and ecosystem. On the other hand, MetaWeb.VC’s founder, Amos Zhang, expressed his support for the funding by saying that the Protocol’s technologies are ideal for facilitating blockchain adoption.

blue and white light digital wallpaperThis isn’t the first time Near Protocol allocated funds for crypto-related initiatives. In 2021, it designated about $800 million for funding the acceleration of DeFi. This move aimed to encourage developers to build on the Near blockchain by offering various incentives.

Besides that, Near and Cardano-based Ardana also formed a partnership, which aimed to build a bridge infrastructure that allowed users to move assets from the Near Protocol to Cardano easily.

Will Slot Machines Incorporate AI Technology in the Future?

0
robot-2301646_1280

Slot machines have offered a popular way of gambling for more than two centuries, with manufacturers taking advantage of technological advances in that time to improve them.

Online ones, like the ones you can try here, are becoming more and more popular, especially after the pandemic forced people to shift their wagers more into digital devices.

The big question now is whether future changes could include the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI).

What are the most important issues to take into account when looking at whether this technology will lead to major changes?

How Do Slots Work Currently?

Slot machines were originally created on a mechanical operating basis, with the player pulling a lever to spin the reels. The reels then stopped randomly, and a prize was awarded if a winning combination could be seen. This method was replaced in the mid-20th century with electronic slots and now we have virtual slots that are played online.

Slots still have the same general idea and even some of the classic symbols from the past still get used. What has changed is the way the game runs using software rather than a mechanical set-up, with modern technology used to make it smoother and ensure that it is always totally fair in terms of the results.

How do you know that a slot game will give you fair results every time? The key to this is in their use of a random number generator (RNG) to give completely unpredictable results on every spin. There is simply no way of knowing what symbols will come up, or for the operator to decide what’s going to happen. The RNG software keeps things unpredictable and fair for everyone.

We also need to take the return to player (RTP) figure into account. This tells you how much the casino expects to return to all of its players overall. The closer this number is to 100%, the more confident you should feel that you will get some wins, although it doesn’t guarantee the exact amount you’ll win.

Another factor that currently controls these games is volatility. A high volatility slot usually has larger prizes but pays out less frequently. On the other hand, if it is classed as being low volatility the prizes may be smaller but the payouts more frequent.

What Is Artificial Intelligence?

AI is now used in a wide variety of aspects of life. It isn’t a single approach, though, as the term refers to a segment of computer science that covers a wide area. AI can be used to create things like smart chatbots, self-driving cars, and systems that bring up personalized recommendations based on your previous activity.

Some factories use AI to make their manufacturing processes slicker, while it’s also used in the financial industry to analyze large amounts of data and spot potentially fraudulent activity, as well as helping customers to budget and work out how much to save each month

What Could AI Add to Online Casinos?

By now, we can see the AI could be used by online casinos in a number of ways. One of the simplest would be to give each player a recommended list of slots they might like to try, based on their profile and activity. This might be similar to how Netflix presents its users with a list of recommended titles.

This could be part of an overall improvement in the way that casinos collect data about their customers and tailor the experience to suit each one of them.  They could also use AI facial recognition technology so that you could sign in just by scanning your face with a mobile device, rather than having to remember a password.

It can also be used to give a better level of customer service. Chatbots that learn as they go can eventually provide a very similar level of service to a human operator. This is especially true in areas such as casino playing, where many players ask the same questions about bonuses and banking issues time after time.

Responsible gambling is another issue that online casino operators take very seriously. They each have extensive sections on how you can look after yourself and spot any patterns that should cause you to take a break, as well as letting you set your own gambling limits. AI could help in this respect by spotting any signs that someone needs some help.

The Gameplay Factors

What we have looked at so far is largely around the overall service that players get from casinos while playing slots games. While many of these changes would be extremely worthwhile, they are the kinds of things that you probably won’t notice and that wouldn’t affect the gameplay on slots games.

It’s easier to imagine AI being used in table games like roulette and blackjack rather than slots. The reason for this is that the technology could be used by players to make more informed decisions, as AI software can crunch a lot of data instantly and work out the best option in each case.

In fact, an AI program called Pluribus was developed by Carnegie Mellon University and went on to beat pro poker players Darren Elias and Chris Ferguson over thousands of hands of the game. However, slots are a simpler game of chance where you don’t need to analyze the situation or make any decisions once the reels start spinning.

What Happens Next?

Unless there is some drastic change to the way that slots work, it seems unlikely that AI will be used in any way that seriously affects the gameplay. The idea of a few reels of symbols that spin and then drop randomly into place has been incredibly popular for a long time and there is really no need for any changes involving artificial intelligence software.

However, it seems far more likely that slots players benefit from changes to the way their casino accounts are run or how easy it is for them to get hold of customer support in the future. These changes aren’t going to be very noticeable, but they will help to make the whole casino experience even slicker and more enjoyable than it already is.

San Diego State University (SDSU) To Accept Crypto Donations

0
screenshot-www-youtube-com-2022-01-17-12_02_27

The Campanile Foundation (TCF), an auxiliary of the San Diego State University (SDSU), began accepting crypto donations in October 2021. Now, SDSU itself announced that it would begin accepting digital assets as donations, specifically Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH).

David Fuhriman, TCF’s chief financial officer, said that they would be withdrawing about 1% of the overall crypto holdings every quarter to fund crypto-related campus activities. For instance, activities that want to help the university discover and learn how to better interact with crypto, like creating a system that enables more expansive digital transactions within the institute.

Meanwhile, they will proceed to convert the remaining funds into BTC. They won’t liquidate the funds immediately because they hope the asset’s value will increase in the future, which can further help the university and its programs.

Even though the crypto market remains unstable and there’s a certain risk of continuing to hold onto assets, SDSU maintains a bullish perspective. Fuhriman says that Bitcoin does go up, “this endowment could last forever.” The CFO emphasizes that the university could receive long-term benefits by holding onto the asset.

SDSU hopes that by stepping foot inside the crypto space, they will draw in more potential donors who are specifically interested in sustaining crypto-related activities and programs within the university. Not only that, but it could also attract younger donors who have unconventional points of view regarding wealth creation.

While SDSU is certain about its decision to start accepting crypto donations, other organizations such as Mozilla and Wikimedia are currently in the spotlight because of it—and not in a good way. Recently, Wikimedia contributors urged the foundation to stop accepting crypto donations due to cryptocurrencies’ negative impact on the environment. The proposal states that Wikimedia is directly violating its supposed commitment to sustainability by accepting crypto.

Mozilla also encountered a similar issue recently. After posting a tweet reminding users that they can still donate with crypto, Mozilla’s co-founder Jamie Zawinski expressed his disappointment at the organization for supporting an industry that only manufactures pollution.

Uruguay Installs First Bitcoin ATM in Major Tourist Spot

0

Crypto enthusiasts from Uruguay will be thrilled to know that the coastal city of Punta del Este has installed its first-ever Bitcoin (BTC) ATM. This marks the 11th South American country to promote cryptocurrency adoption publicly. Before the involvement of Uruguay in the crypto space, South America already had about 79 ATMs available, representing approximately 0.2% of BTC ATM installations in the world.

According to Ámbito, the first crypto ATM in Uruguay is in Punta del Este, a coastal city that also happens to be a major tourist attraction. The development and installation of Uruguay’s first Bitcoin ATM collaborate with URUBit and inBierto, two local crypto companies.

The newly-installed crypto ATM currently supports withdrawal and deposits of five different crypto projects. Specifically, enthusiasts can withdraw or deposit BTC, Binance Coin (BNB), Binance USD (BUSD), Ferret Token (FRT), and Urubit (URUB). For those who aren’t familiar with FRT and URUB, these are in-house cryptocurrencies by URUBit and inBierto, respectively.

inBierto CEO Adolfo Varela verified that the Uruguayan government is 100% funding the initiative. inBierto is a crypto investment platform, but not only that, it’s a part of the Uruguayan Chamber of Fintech (Cámara Uruguaya de Fintech). On the other hand, URUBit is a decentralized token developed in Uruguay, and it’s listed on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

green red and yellow christmas tree and two round gold coinsAs per Coin ATM Radar’s data, Colombia leads the South American market with its 31 crypto ATMs. Next is Brazil with 22 installations and Argentina with 11 installations. As for other countries like Venezuela, Aruba, Saint Kits, Ecuador, and Nevis, only have one crypto ATM installed so far.
