August 2023 has proven to be a fabulous month for PlayStation Plus players, seeing games like “PGA Tour 2K23,” “Dreams,” and “Death’s Door” in the collection. But we’re halfway through August and approaching September. Time really flies fast, doesn’t it? While true, a new month also means a new set of games for PlayStation Plus.

To tell you, right now, the list of the free PlayStation Plus games for September 2023 is not yet officially out. But, there are speculations on what these games will be. Read on to find out the possible free PS Plus games next month.

Possible free PS Plus games for September 2023

‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’

The first game speculated to be part of the September 2023 line-up for PS Plus is “Marvel’s Spider-Man.” It is an action-adventure game from 2018 developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Based, of course, on the Marvel Comics character, Spider-Man, the game tells an original narrative inspired by the comics but drawing from many other adaptations in other media.

In the game’s story, Mister Negative, a superhuman crime lord, devises a plot to take control of the criminal underworld of New York City. When he threatens to let out a deadly virus, our titular hero must fight him and protect the city while dealing with the personal problems of his alter ego, Peter Parker.

‘Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales’

Another game rumored for PlayStation Plus this September is “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” also developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, like the previous game on this list.

It may be based on the same Marvel Comics story, but it focuses on Miles Morales as Spider-Man, whose mentor is Parker. The game is a spin-off and continuation of the previous game here, and the second installment in Insomniac Games’ “Spider-Man” series.

The game’s narrative focuses on Morales’ struggle to balance the duties of his civilian persona with his demanding role as the second Spider-Man. Things get more difficult for him when his new home, Harlem, is threatened by a war between a high-tech criminal army, the Underground, and Roxxon Energy Corporation.

‘Ghost of Tsushima’

Last but not least is “Ghost of Tsushima.” It is an action-adventure game where players control Jin Sakai, a samurai, on a quest and mission to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The game features a large open world that can be explored either on horseback or by foot.

Meanwhile, on a sadder note, PlayStation Game Size has revealed the games leaving PS Plus this September. They are:

  • “Chicory: A Colorful Tale”
  • “Death end re;Quest 2”
  • “Deathloop”
  • “Nidhogg 2”

But don’t lose hope. While these games are leaving, there are sure new games to be added, which we’ll expect to be revealed anytime soon. Be excited.
