There are not many games launching along with the next-gen consoles but whatever’s available looks like a hell of a game. One of the titles launching alongside the PlayStation 5 is Sackboy: A Big Adventure which recently had a deeper look into detail thanks to the guys from Sony.
Fans have waited long enough and now their prayers are answered as Little Big Planet’s Sackboy is set to have another epic adventure again through a PlayStation 5 exclusive – Sackboy A Big Adventure. The forthcoming platformer was the focal point of a recent article from the PlayStation Blog website.
In the post, Sony discussed a few in-depth details about the game:
Game Development
According to Ned Waterhouse, Sumo Digital’s design director, the team isn’t quite done yet with the game. However, he does confirm that they are just now adding the final touches and that the finish line can be seen on the horizon.
Since the game will be a platformer, the developers wanted to make sure that every level of the game will feel unique and memorable. They wanted to ensure that players will always be surprised, wanting more, and clueless about what’s to come.
Water house added:
“In one stage you’ll be careening through a mountain pass on a runaway train, the next exploring a forgotten temple or facing off against a hostile baddie. We’ve mixed up the gameplay with a bunch of new power-ups – including one which at one point quite literally turns the world on its head!”
The director also spilled that there will be more than 60 cosmetics players can collect throughout the game. Players can also mix and match these costumes to create their own unique avatar. The game will also introduce a new emote system which includes, fist bumps, hugs, and a lot more. In addition, the developers have also integrated a coop mode into Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
Special Edition Announced
The article from the PlayStation Blog also announced a new exclusive edition which includes a bunch of freebies players can collect. The digital special edition comes with a digital soundtrack, digital artbook, and 20 unique Sackboy costumes.
There will also be four free cosmetics inspired by Jin from the hit PlayStation 4 game Ghost of Tsushima, Deacon of Days Gone, Connor of Detroit Become Human, and Sam Porter of Death Stranding. Each of these costumes comes along with a unique emote as well.

On the other hand, players who avail the physical edition of Sackboy: A Big Adventure will receive a free Sackboy plushie, and those who have preordered the game will be receiving an exclusive digital comic inspired by the game itself.
