Though she looks naive, Makima is a bad person in the series. She was a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter who took Denji to become her human pet. Later on, she was revealed as the Control Devil, embodying the fear of conquest of control. She may have died, but she was reincarnated as Nayuta.
Furthermore, Makima is a die-hard fan of Chainsaw Man. In the series’ Gun Devil arc, Aki was killed and partially possessed by the Gun Devil. Thereby, he became the Gun Fiend’s host.
