Electronic Arts recently posted several job listings that have led fans to believe that the company is currently hiring to create a brand-new Star Wars title. We don’t have a lot of information about this new game just yet, but we can infer from the listings that the game will be different from Electronic Arts’ existing Star Wars titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2. In other words, the company is looking to release an upcoming mobile game.
There are multiple job openings available right now that were posted by none other than Electronic Arts. If we were to believe that these listings are true, then it would be safe to say that the company isn’t trying to be discreet about its future Star Wars project.
Including in the listings is a job opportunity for a Senior Performance Software Engineer for mobile gaming. The other job offers were pretty clear about what kind of work Electronic Arts wants them to do. Not only that, but it appears that the studio is also looking for a couple of Gameplay Software Engineers and Live Services Software Engineers.

The job listings may be scattered across the different areas of the United States and Canada, but one thing ties them together: the fact that they’re all tagged “Star Wars Mobile.”
All of these offers suddenly showed up a few days ago, which is another indication that the the title will be a new one rather than a continuation of an already-existing title, such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 which is set to have a mobile port.
That being said, there’s barely any information regarding this upgaming game, and Electronic Arts has yet to reveal anything else asides from the description on the job listings. Although, the fact that the company is hiring several people for the Live Services Software Engineer position could mean that Electronic Arts is working on an MMORPG or some other type of video game that has multiplayer features.
For the past couple of years, Electronic Arts has earned a reputation for going “all in” when it comes to Star Wars. This can be seen in the way the studio paingstakingly released Jedi: Fallen Order in 2019, adn then Star Wars: Squadrons only this year. The company has already released several different titles for this franchise in particular, but who could ever have too much Star Wars?

That being said, Electronic Arts also has prior experience in terms of releasing expansive multiplayers under this franchise. The company previously stated that it wasn’t planning to release a sequel to Star Wars: Battlefront 2, even though it has amassed a pretty massive and dedicated fanbase after a couple of updates were released and praised by others in the community.
In addition to that, Disney+ and its success played a huge part as to why there has been a resurgence in popularity as of late.
Among other things, fans have also been looking forward to the fact that The Mandalorian will be featured in Fortnite’s latest season, among many other crossovers. Since the Star Wars franchise has once again grown and become active, along with the fact that there are several Star Wars games across the different platforms, it’s hard to know for certain what kind of mobile title Electronic Arts is working on. However, we’ll probably find out soon enough!
