It’s been over two years since “Kingdom Hearts IV” was announced. But, until this day, there are no significant hints or information, at least not even when it will be released, leaving fans gasping for updates about its development. Here’s everything we know so far about the game. 

Trailer

Everything that fans can base on about the game is the official trailer revealed alongside the announcement. 

In this photo-realistic trailer, you’ll see appearances from Sora, Strelitzia, and a Darkside heartless, as well as brief appearances from Donald Duck and Goofy (seriously!) as they’re part of a mini-gameplay in Quadratum’s world, a world modeled after real-life Shibuya in Japan. 

The reactions are mixed for this trailer. Disappointed fans did not like the art style that differed from the previous games in the series. 

Story

There are also very few details about the story of “Kingdom Hearts IV,” though that’s understandable, considering that developers, of course, won’t like to preempt things. But, with the long gap since its first announcement, fans deserve more. 

So far, what’s confirmed is that the game will cover the first chapter of the Lost Master Arc, the arc that succeeds the Dark Seeker Sage, which you got to play in the previous games. 

Worlds

The game takes place in Quadratum. But there’s more to this. Read on. 

Quadratum is the primary setting. Square Enix director Tetsuya Nomura spoke with the media and confirmed that Quadratum is the “initial base” within the game. That said, players can explore many other worlds, such as Disney worlds (since the game has Donald Duck and Goofy, though weird). 

Other fan theories also say there might be “Star Wars”-themed worlds as they’ve spotted references to the popular franchise. 

Gameplay

Sadly, at this point, it is still difficult to ascertain what the gameplay of “Kingdom Hearts IV” will be. But you can speculate from the first trailer. In the video, you can see the return of a Flowmotion mechanic variation, as well as usual abilities like magic whacking darkness with the keyblade. 

It also appears that Sora will utilize the keyblade’s keychain as his grappling look to help him get near enemies and traverse up the side of buildings like in the previous installment. 

Platforms

No information about the platforms has been divulged, either. However, the game could be playable on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch, as with the previous game.

There are no details on the release date, either. This leak says “Kingdom Hearts IV” will be released in 2026, while people on Reddit say it will be in 2025.

Where To Find All 9 Tiers Of Somber Smithing Stones In ‘Elden Ring’

Smithing Stones in this role-playing game are Upgrade Materials. They are vital for upgrading your regular Weapons and Shields. 

These Stones come in only two forms – regular or Somber Smithing Stones. As their names imply, regular ones help scale regular weapons, while the latter boosts the abilities of weapons with magical scaling. 

To obtain the Somber Smithing Stones, you first need to find them. These Stones have nine tiers, and here’s your guide to their locations. 

Tier 1 

Blacksmith Iji sells them in unlimited quantities northwest of Liurnia or on the path leading to Caria Manor. Some other places are (after getting past Stormveil): 

  • Near the Agheel Lake bridge
  • Church of Dragon Communion
  • Southeast of the Coliseum

Tier 2 

Iji also sells tier 2 Somber Smithing Stones. Here are the places where to find them: 

  • Gael Tunnel
  • Stormveil Cliffs
  • Outside Castle Morne

Tier 3

Meanwhile, tier 3 Somber Smithing Stones are beyond those previous areas. Liurnia is a great place to begin, but here are some other options: 

  • Buy them from Iji
  • North Lake’s edge
  • Four Belfries

Tier 4

Somber Smithing Stones from the fourth tier are located in Limgrave, so you must return here. Then, proceed into the Caelid Region. However, you’ll need to do some spelunking to get these Stones, and we’re warning you right now that you need to exert more effort as you progress in the game to get these Stones. Find them from:

  • Buy them from Iji
  • Gael Tunnel
  • Sellia Crystal Tunnel
  • Caelid Minor Erdtree

Tier 5

At this point, you won’t be able to buy the Stones from the fifth tier from Iji. You’d have to get them yourself. Here are where you should head to:

  • Bower of Bounty
  • Sealed Tunnel
  • Erdtree Sanctuary

Tier 6

Here, you’re beginning to tackle the rare stones. Many tier 6 Stones are located underground in the Deeproot Depths and Nokstella. So, they’re pretty tricky to acquire, more so if you’re not following the Ranni questline and the secret ending. But here’s a guide to where the tier 6 Stones are:

  • First Mt. Gelmir Campsite
  • Volcano Manor
  • Old Althus Tunnel

Tier 7

Aside from the requirement to get to late-game areas for these Stones, it would be best to clear challenging areas and defeat bosses. Here are some options to check out:

  • Dung Eater’s Cell (Subterranean Shunning Grounds) 
  • Inside the Giant Skull 
  • East of Zamor Ruins 

Tier 8

Here, better strategies are required. At this point, your weapons are nearing their maximum potency. Yet, you still need to explore challenging, late-game areas for these Tier 8 Stones. Here are the locations for them:

  • Foot of the Forge 
  • Ancient Snow Valley Ruins 
  • Consecrated Snowfield Minor Erdtree 

Tier 9 

You must be in the late game for the Stones from this last tier. Here are the locations:

  • Dragon Temple
  • Southwest Cliffs
  • North of Dragon Temple

History lovers will also enjoy it. This game, which has psychological and fairy tale themes, is set in England in 1930 and revolves around a 19-year-old woman trapped in a world ruled by young girls who have established the Red Crayon Aristocrats, a class hierarchy. The final entry to the trilogy, this role-playing game sees Shion Uzuki and KOS-MOS, a battle android, searching out the origins of Gnosis, a hostile alien, while being hunted by Uzuki’s ex-employers and four powerful humans known as the Testaments.

‘God Of War II’ (Press Kit)

The Renowned action-adventure hack-and-slash video game “God of War II” has a Press Kit (no, not the press kit that businesses distribute to the media), which has a special cover, unique inside cover art, and a special slot that holds the game disc itself. It isn’t the main game that made it to this list, but the Press Kit version.

But, “God of War II” has a narrative that depicts Zeus as a bad guy. The game is based on Greek mythology, with the central protagonist Kratos, the god of war in the game, who kills the former war god, Ares. Zeus betrays Kratos, strips him of his godhood, and kills him. In the Underworld, the Titan Gaia saves Kratos and instructs him to find the Sisters of Fate so he can travel back in time, avert his betrayal, and take revenge on the king of Greek gods. 

‘Haunting Ground’

“Haunting Ground” is a survival horror video game whose story follows a young woman named Fiona Bell who, one day, wakes up in a castle dungeon after being involved in a car accident. She then immediately befriends Hewie, a White Shepherd, and explores the castle with her new pet to find a way to escape while unraveling the castle’s mysteries and those of its inhabitants. “Haunting Ground” shares several similarities with “Clock Tower 3,” another survival horror title by Capcom. 

‘Silent Hill: Shattered Memories’

Today, “Silent Hill” is a game that has gone silent, as there is no news on whether a new game in the series will come out. But, during its PS2 heyday, it was viral. 

“Silent Hill: Shattered Memories” is a survival horror game featuring Harry Mason’s quest to look for his missing daughter in the fictitious American town of Silent Hill. But “Shattered Memories” is set in a fictional universe with a different plot and characters, including new ones. You can access five different ends in this game. Its gameplay takes place in two parts. The first is a psychotherapy session, and the second is an over-the-shoulder perspective of Mason’s journey through the town. 

‘Blood Will Tell’

“Blood Will Tell” is also one of the most expensive games on the PlayStation 2 because it is based on the popular manga and anime, “Dororo,” which we recently talked about here on PVP Live. 

In “Blood Will Tell,” players take the role of Hyakkimaru, whose body was stolen by 48 fiends and replaced with prosthetic parts. That plot sounds weird. Your goal is to recover the body by defeating those fiends. 

‘Bully: Collector’s Edition’

Believe it or not, “Bully: Collector’s Edition” is a game from Rockstar Games. But it’s rare. The game features an open world you can navigate by foot, motor scooter, skateboard, go-kart, or bike. It is set in Bullworth, a fictional town, and follows the story of Jimmy Hopkins, a juvenile delinquent student involuntarily enrolled at Bullworth Academy for a year. He’s not the bully, as he puts his efforts into rising through the ranks of the school system actually to advocate for the end of bullying.

It’s Official! ‘Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’ Is Getting A 3rd Season

“Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” is not one of those animes that will keep fans waiting. Some animes, like “Attack on Titan,” have a long gap between a previous season and a brand-new season. The first season of “Attack on Titan” ended in September 2013, and it took until April 2017 before the second season was seen. 

The anime drama concluded its second season last Sunday. That season was released around May of last year. 

Season 2 aired in two parts, with the first half running from July to September 2023 and the second half from April to June 2024. 

After the final episode of Season 2 aired, the anime announced the third season, which got fans excited. Things are official for Season 3 of “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.”

X netizen @Hanz_Tatsuo said they cannot wait. They tweeted, “I don’t know which of y’all watch and stay up to date with anime. Although I just finished season 2 of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and it was an absolute banger season. At the end of the episode, it dropped a teaser that there will be a season 3 coming out. I can’t wait!!”

“Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” is based on Rifujin na Magonote’s light novel series illustrated by Shirotaka. Studio Bind took charge of producing the anime adaptation.

The series tells the story of an unemployed, overweight man who dies from having a withdrawn life only to reincarnate in a fantasy world while preserving his memories from his previous life. Under his new name, Rudeus Greyrat, he can enjoy life without regrets in this new world.

According to reports, the third season continues the story of Greyrat as his family expands in new ways. 

Speculations say “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” could return by early 2025.
